Time to harvest

Definitely got some amber trichomes showing up so I guess it is harvest time. This grow only took 7 weeks from light switch compared to last grow that took 12 weeks. Weird... I was able to use 42w CFL this flower compared to 23w last time but 5 weeks difference??? These buds aren't as fat as last grow but there are more of them. I don't weigh final product so my only comparison will be how many quart jars I get.

Yep, same strain. There were several differences from last grow that had me scratching my head. Another big one was no, or very little, smell this time. I was able to leave grow box door open during daylight period the whole grow to help keep temperatures down. Never hooked up carbon filter!!!

The only true test will be when you sample the end product and can compare to last grow. Even though grow different in many ways, you may be very pleased in the end.

I sampled a narly little undeveloped bud last week and man oh man, it was much better than last grow, which was pretty damn good. I'm psyched about this batch!!

You know, that is not a bad grow either. But you're right. You have come a long way. Isn't it great how just a little manipulating can have such a wonderful result. Give yourself a pet on the back. You surely deserve it.

That was my first grow and yes, I learn more with every grow. I remember Nebula saying you just have to jump in and she was right. Of course having good folks like yourself to lean on sure helps!!

It looks great! The amount of time cannabis takes in the flowering stage has more to do with the strain than anything else. I don't think you did anything with the environment, I think this plant may just be a short-flowering strain :)

Short flowering strains do tend to grow somewhat smaller buds. It makes sense buds will be smaller than last time since they got 5 less weeks of time in the light, but you also saved 5 weeks worth of electricity! That's enough time to almost get another plant into the flowering stage again! You also have many more colas this time, and I bet the quality of the buds is going to be better this time, too :)
