Tika #4 Indoor Grow Journal

Tika

New member
This Time: Im going to post the essentials on the forum, log all the details into the PDF (in Word) since the last 3 journals -under my subscription has 3 PDFs (minus our chatting :) ) to see the environment and equipment that remains the same. NOTE: I have to extend a huge thanks to Nebula-who somehow manages to shrink wrap my PDF to a postable/ copyable document. SO #3 is now a PDF as well as the other two.
SO: here we go ...again.

8/8/2017 Day 41 of veg
Well-that time flew buy with harvesting last grow and now curing. VEG: 9 plants are currently in veg-not enjoying one Blue cheese, God bud doing her usual “Weird” so saved an Afghan kush just in case.
The Afghans and the Blue cheese are all different in structure and the little one is “marbalized”. All new growth is as well so don’t think it’s a disease. Seeking even canopy is going to be interesting. Split the main trunk of a Blue cheese (Gorilla taped back together) yesterday while LSTing.

CONSIDERING: allowing the plants to get taller while still seeking even canopy. I get so freaked about too tall (even with indicas) that I bend them really early. I have started the LST but this group is rather wide and airy in their structure to start so I may let them get taller. I can afford the space.

Plan to do less defoliation in veg as they are pretty open. Did take one monster Gold leaf fan off and pressing it/drying to save…for something. Ill remove the floppy lower fans but plan the major 1[SUP]st[/SUP] defoliation before I go into flower (Nebula Style J ) along with lollipopping. Then 3 weeks after into flower.

This is going to be another strange grow, not really excited about all their same strain DIFFERENCES but-another growing challenge. Also not eager to get into flower as I am currently still thumped from the last one-happily-but thumped.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi Tika ...I hope you are well:).......how is the cyco platinum? ......I recently had to re-stock and tried really hard to get cyco coco but apparently, the boat it comes on was stuck in customs??...so I had to choose otherwise as it was an emergency lol....plants look great....some v.big leaves:).......is there a process to drying the leaves to keep?.....I think some of them look really cool:)

I REALLY like platinum Cyco coco! Mixing 3 cyco to one perlite and I no longer rinse. I fund it to be very clean stuff. Holds moisture well. I have tried many including bricks.
All is well and thanks for asking Vapo69. :)

Well Aloner .I consider veg to be a break :) it is an interesting and forgiving time. I forget what not growing is like...IF I could sleep in no matter what I might consider a pause but the dogs would t have it anyway. :)
delighted to have you hang with me...thank you :)

Is this seat taken ?

I love your line up of strains. Those are some good picks.
I had some Blue dream that made really tasty hash.
I say good luck, but I'm not sure you need any 😉

Cheers Californiakid

FOR THE RECORD: a few issues:
since I can't answer most needs on the forum as not all grow as I grow the best thing I can do to help others is to post what I do if they are doing it. I answer what I can when I can. It appears that I am all about me but not. There are 3 PDFs available on the forum available to read, print, etc. If nothing else I hope to supply a little humor with in the forum and enjoy the feed back immensely. Think I've said that more than many times.
It would-indeed be easier to not do a journal, not do a PDF and just surf and turf.
I do get some paranoid flack from those near me and continue to ride the bull anyway with wishes to help some one some place. Not many subbed, several surfing...I still do what i do AND like to show what I have done visually-it is in my nature.
I also DO read and value many members more than they can imagine-some gone way back and miss them. Equally my heart goes out to new growers..been there...still there- every grow is a new WTF experience- always insecure, always frustrated, always happy to be here-with you guys :)
That was a launch-needed to be done I guess
just to be clear :)

I am glad you continue the bull ride amongst the flak Tika , you humour is always warm and welcome:), it wouldn't be the same without you:)

Thank You Californiakid! Every one needs a little luck and I appreciate your offer of it.

8/12/2017 Day 45 of Veg

Feeding time and 9 plants that are crowding the veg space SO: had to choose. The Blue cheese that split down the middle and who is rangy, lanky and without promise per the space she is and would be taking up-went OUTSIDE!!! (hubby changed his mind…again). Whacked and thumped and transplanted into a sack of roots organic. I have no hope for her as there is also light contamination. However-it will be an experiment, I didn’t cull her and she is sitting with Yellow Kangaroo and 2 whimpy ass tomato plants I potted.

The God bud and the late to transplant Afghan kush are small and since I need the space I chose to keep them. 6-8 colla LST wires on each plan except for the small ones, have not yet defoliated (new concept) waiting til right before my flip into flower. Everyone is pissy after working the ties or readjusting them. I cannot bring them out much wider.

Truly enjoying the plant risers: sure makes drain to waste more efficient in time and energy. I can see that the pot is done dripping! Only have to move her back to her home saucer once.

Also: got my next seeds-fine delivery for a pretty penny in a dinosaur fossil casting kit . Pretty penny for these ones for sure!

Also pressing 2 God bud fan leaves that are humungus!. I know she will not produce much bud but what she does present will be interesting. Her terpines are already quite present-so specific! May shadow box a leaf or two. One of the leaves pictured has been pressing for a while-the other just went into pressing. They are like huge mature spinach leaves.
There it is for the day :)
Hope you are having a fine day-weekend. Really - I DO :)

Oooooh girl, you got the grandaddy purp!!! You did shell out some big bucks!!! Can't wait to hear about that one.

alltatup YESSSS...seriously boned on that GDP. Since I don't have a "clothing " budget and heading into yet another dreaded birthday I GIFTED MYSELF :)
Aloner and it is really nice - day 2 to see and at 44 days smell a lady outside. At the same time I don't plan on success but taking her as far as I can go :)
thanks for your company folks :)

Once again, a fine collection Tika! It will be interesting to see how your outdoor experiment goes. Here in Mass, the photos are finally making buds! 😊 Enjoy your day! 🍷

Hi Tika , plants look great, those are some huge fan leaves......the risers look ace, where did you get them from please?...they would be ideal for me too:D .......good choice of strains too, I hope you like the Ayahuasca purple as much as we did:D

Hiya Tika , I'll be subbed in here watching, paying attention and offering my infinite wisdom where applicable. Hehehe Those risers are great looking indeed. I find one does need something like that with the fabric pots. The risers I use are from old propane bbq's - the little grate thingie on the side burner, just lifts off.
