The offical 2016 solo cup challenge

Thanks. Gordo, some people do that. You just have to water with a careful eye and hand. Plus the water will run deeper into soil than roots, so you have to water a little bit but more often. It can be done.

I really like the idea of planting in a clear cup, and putting it inside a colored one. You'll know exactly when those roots need to be transplanted.

I understand its easier to water a cup than a big pot, but there are lots of growers that start the plant in a big pot, i dont see where you could over water it. If you're in coco and a cloth pot it's almost impossible to over water a plant.

My whole garden is in one and a half gallon death pots.
Started out there and will die there....mine seem to be doing okay I'd say.....

Thats how I start them too_didn't know it was "the lazy mans way"...haha.
The only thing I did different was to cut down the sides of the peat so it opened out...like with 4 wings.
Worked well. But I haven't tried just planting the peat pot.

Im sorry to say that the contest has been canceled. Due to my competitors plant is not doing well and we want to start over with a different strain.
I will be posting the new thread tomorrow. Thanks for your interest and taking part in this project..

Awww.... but mom said we could go to mcdonalds....

thats how how I feel right now....

Hoping you resume your contest. Maybe we can setup a GWE contest sometime.

Hey, that might be a good thing. Have a certain date to start and everyone post your pics of the grow, and you could offer a $1,000 prize to the winner.

Thanks, im going to keep her going in the cup just to see what she does. And ive already started the new auto NL seed.

No Title

Ok, so the contest is off but im going to keep growing the plant i started for this. It looks goo and a want as i think a few others do,, see where it goes and how it turns out in the end. So if you're interested in this grow keep checking back and ill post pics and comments as it grows.
This plant is a photo girl not and auto so at some point in time im going to have to put her into flower, i might just go with the original dater of 30 days of veg,, because i don't think the roots in the cup will support anything longer than that, and still produce flowers. I might be wrong about that, and i will look at the plant at the time and determine what to do. Here she is today at 17 days from seed. And she has till the 20th. To veg.
