The Great Beard Comparison

haha thanks atu, thats very kind of you and a very female thing to say :) most woman think that way, but guys love beards idk why

Whoa, hey now! Let us not make this a guy thing. I demand women get the respect they deserve!
I am somewhat jealous.

Well, here's my tiny one compared to all the bigguns shown on this thread lol. Sadly it will have to be shaved come Halloween because I'm going as dwight from "the office" when I go into work. Already have to wear a suit at work, and I happen to have a brown suit. Now all I need is a yellow shirt and tie, and some dwight glasses lol.

Well I had to shave and look respectable my whole life. The second I retired I stopped shaving. It has been shaved clean a few times since but only because I lost bets with my wife. Lol And I've found that the condition of my beard is directly related to how healthy I eat. The healthier I eat the better the beard gets.

Spidermite Agreed plus I use a combination of coconut oil and a damn fine hair/ beard oil a mate turned me onto-makes it very silky smooth with a hint of masculine scent...as well as my viking hair comb

9fingerleafs One day mate, one day...the dark side will call and before you know it you`re be like Thorin Oakenshield and fair, wanton maidens will fling themselves verily upon you in lustful ways. It`s the way of things when you are bearded mate...fighting `em off like flies

PaganRich Retodd Pagan Todd does beard competitions. I'm slowly working on mine being in that shape. At first I just cared about length. It has been down to my belly button but I've been taking better care of it recently. I trim it more frequently to make it fuller. I recently removed about 6 to 8 inches in the name of having a fuller beard. I've been cleaning up the stray hairs that like to grow several inches a month to keep it even. However I'm starting to realize the only competition I'll win is being santa claus soon. I'm going white far faster than I thought I would. Next year ill probably be more Santa Clause than Viking.

I'll have to find a pic,,,, I too have a full beard, and always have, well since I could grow it! It runs in my family almost all the men wear beards. I have refused to shave for jobs, it kept me out of places I did not want to work in, I have kept it neat for jobs (like TV Guide) but cut it hell no! (I worked field service on overhead bridge cranes mostly) Someone once told me I was hiding behind my beard, and I cut it, when I looked into the mirror, it was not me looking back, never again! Having hair on my face is more comfortable than not!

I get more attention with long hair and beard than I ever did without. Not sure how that's hiding. It's great when a woman says that to me. Show me a woman who wears makeup and I'll show you hiding.

Hiding your face indeed!! A beard does not hide a face; that was a dumb person.

So was it a woman wearing makeup? :-}
