Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate
A lot of people call it Hydroton, which was actually the company name of the primary maker before they got shut down or something. Kinda like Xerox, or even more like Perrier for those old enough to remember when they were synonymous with bottled water before the contamination disaster.
Also called clay pellets or balls, expanded clay, coco puffs etc.
