Switched from chips to Perlite, wish I would've done it sooner.

I didn't catch Nebula's warning about Coco chips and used them instead of Perlite, its been 16 days since sprouting and my girls haven't really grown much for a week. I know the water, light, and temp are all good so I think its the medium. I know its too early and they are small but its snowing and I have time. The 2 mystery girls on left are 4" tall x 2" wide, the 3 White Widow fems on left are 2" tall x 2" wide. They are all in 3g smart pots now with 35% perlite and I am mixing my first 20% nutes today. Its been a good day mixing Perlite to Dubstep, anyway here is the grow picture.

Is your medium coco with chips?
A pain in he butt but you could get new fabric pots, make the mix , transplant pretty easily once they are a little more established. Cut away pot on sides and carefully holding root ball ( i transplant after feed or water next day) and drop into your new preprepared pots. Can also sink in ones with tall trunk a little deeper.
How did you germinate them? In soil or???

The pics are post transplant, it was/is coco w/chips but now with 1/3 Perlite. I noticed the leaves were less droopy and more vibrant after 4 hours. I like your idea of sinking the taller ones.

In the past I germinated in the dark and then put the rooter into their baby pots...leaving room to fill up the stretch with more medium. Think it was Green75 that said germinate under lights..so next time maybe the stretch won't happen. I have never lost a plant doing it the old way tho.
