Hey! I just had something to share. I was so curious about this issue and as I was doing some research I saw a plant that actually looked a bit like yours!
In the picture here, the reason was the plant was
"revegged" or "monstercropped". In other words, it got long nights for a while, which made the plant think it was time to flowering, then started getting short nights again so it is reverting back fully to the vegetative stage.
Just curious, did the curly leaf plant possibly get some long nights or dark periods before the curly leaves happened? Like perhaps it was kept in a room that gets dark at night for a few days? If so, then it's possible when you put it back in the tent with short nights and long nights, it started the re-vegging process.
But I also read that sometimes, you get re-vegging symptoms purely from light stress or heat stress. And I don't see any other signs of revegging on that plant, or any of the others. So it's definitely possible it's some kind of stress response to the light or temperature. Or something else I don't know about.
Anyway, just wanted to share because it's the only other time I've seen a plant get curly taco leaves just on the top of the plant.
