Strange happenings.

It took me forever to get Three Kings seeds started and nurtured here in Ohio. I ended up with two great plants about three feet tall and three feet wide. We are about three weeks from harvest my buds are huge and sticky. I’m waiting for the little temps to start turning brown before I pull. Unfortunately, on my main plant the buds are apparently so heavy that the branches are falling and this week cracked off leaving a white exposed branch broken, but not full separated from the plant. Should I pull these broken branches and dry now or should I leave them hanging, waiting for terps to turn? These Three Kings were difficult to grow. They claimed Hts of six feet, but out of ten seeds I got only three plants. And the buds are gorgeous, but they are busting up a plant I spent over three months nurturing.

Earlier photos of healthy green plants. Recent photos of splintered stems and near ready buds.

it is hard to see from that picture sorry about the branch breaks. sometime if you splint and use that plant green tape you can fix the break and it can possibly continue to grow. I had one branch work and one that didnt this year. the key is to make sure the break is fresh and is attached like a puzzle back the way it broke and is securely splinted and or taped.

Being this late in the year,I would remove the broken branches and hang them up to dry, when I grew outside,I always harvested my plants on my birthday ( 10-19 ) and I always had a great yield of potent smoke

If you only have @3 weeks left before harvest, then I would harvest the broken branches now. If you want to practice splinting a branch, then by all means go for it but I don't think there will be much benefit from it other than the practice. My 2 cents worth. And welcome aboard!!

My plants look to be ready next week. Possibly the 19th, but waiting for the plants to tell me.

I was using cloth to tie the branches to tomato? Stakes. I think the storm that rolled in after warm summer like temps snapped the branches.

Following some advice from above and off and on rainfalls predicted for the next few days I harvested the broken branches and pushed the connected main stem up and k
Let that grow. But the joy of a big plant such as this one is the few branches I hung are about 15 ounces of primo weed.

Mother nature can be very hard on an outdoor grow. Feel fortunate that you still have ganja buds to harvest. I have lost my total ganja garden to mother nature (Flood). It was terrible!
