Starting seeds in grodan cubes

I'm about to germinate and this time I am going to use A-OK starter plugs. Normally I would germinate in a Tupperware with a wet paper towel, should I still do this before putting seed into cube or should I just push seed into cube and keep it moist? What do you guys do, or should I just skip the cubes, i bought them for cloning but I'm not there yet.

Those are perfect. What I do is I soak the cube doesn’t have to be ph’ed. Then I put it in a ziplock baggie. Close it up and sit it on top of my DVR box like a heating pad for free and 3 days later seedlings emerge. The most I’ve waited was 5 days. Key is just barely push them in the hole that way they pop out quick, without having to work too hard.
