Starting a seed in a rapidrooter

So my new grow in coco-perlite can the rooter go right in the 5 gallon pot or is it better in a dixi cup?

I am sure you can put plug in pot. ButI found there is no slow down in growth if Startin final pot. I germ seed on paper towle in side a zip lock.

I'd think going with the rooter to final pot is a good thing , maybe it's just easy to over or under water. I'll be careful I can't wait to start my seeds I feel like a seed starter junkie I can't do enough

Once in the rooter in the final pot do you just mist the rooter to keep it damp?.....I am getting ready to do the same exact thing....5gal DWC.....with a top feed....

I got six plugs with a purchase thought I would need more so I bought a bag of 25. So far I used 4 plugs , out 12 plants. Just feel they are not required .

I love Rapid rooters! Normally I germ under a dome in rooter trays, first sign of root then goes into 5x5 plastic square pots that have my coco mix-prerinsed, and only slightly damp pre prepared. The reason I don't go into 5 gal pots directly : I over germinate and early veg so that I can pick my strongest plants and save a bit on electric under 2T5s. Veg space will accommodate 8 5 gal pots under 4 T5s.Then transplant . I admit - my brag- I've never lost a plant in transplanting. Hope I didn't queer the deal in saying that too.
i love the veg period!
PS all water- rinse or feed is PHed to 6 or 6.1

Raise your hand if you soak the coconut coir in cal-magic at the beginning?

And thanks all I love the warm help here <3

there is no need..just wait till stalk hardens over before feeding them anything...

calmag has nitrogen in it...don't want to get an early build up on that...

oh come on....you have house plants.....its easy!!!! plus you learn more....hydro is not easier....it just has a COOL appeal to it.....

---------hey man check out this dro......lol

Ny house plants get fed my fish tank water that is pre-made nutrients in it. And the magnesium I didn't know it had nitrogen maybe that will help when people have burned their plants using cal-mag and asking why the plant looks bad.

The more I learn the more I need to learn.Infinity~

ive been planning an aquaponics grow in my head for a while now....watched a lot of videos on it...I think it would be cool as fk.....big scale tho....just a loaded pipe dream..haha

I saw a bigger scale set-up it was all automated held 8 plants but the owner was a millionaire and dumped lots of money into it. I was drooling LOL
