smell change during drying??

This is my first grow and my plants are currently on their second day of drying upside down on hangers. They are drying in my grow tent with an avg temp of 65 and humidity at 55. They were grown in coco coir and perlite. My question is about the smell. They smell like hay or grass right now. That is a huge difference in their smell right before harvest. The strain is sour diesel. Is this drastic change normal?

Sounds right!, my harvests always smell green. Once the cure begins they will go back to their wonderful fragrances.
No worries as far as I'm concerned

This happened to me with my last harvest of Black Jack plants. They had the most amazing and wonderful smell at harvest but during the hang dry period this changed to, as you said, a hay or grass smell. They have been curing for over a month now and the smell has changed again. It's a more subtle version of the pre harvest smell. And a perfect high. Perfect.

Hey krpthc, sorta related question. My next grow will be sour diesel,just curious how much stretching did you get as I've read they can be heavy yielders?
