Should circulation fans be on at “night”?

I found a couple of gnats I think from when I flushed and it took a while for the soil to dry out. Daytime temps are 75f and 60f at night. Humidity stays around 50%. I’ve been switching the clip fans off with the light but I’m wondering if I should leave them on at night too. There is one 6” over canopy and another one below, both on low. My exhaust fan runs at about 150-200 cfm all the time.

Circulation fans should always be on IMO, your exhaust can be set to cycle on and off for temperature/ humidity control but the circulation fans should always be moving air around.

yep as Obi-Wan as already said ideally fans should be kepy on ,to keep the air circulating ,stale warm air can cause mildew etc ,,,

I have a 12" fan in my tent running 24/7.

Howdy cannatom, I run my circulating fans on low speed (they oscillate as well) and they are just below the level of the reservoirs so that the sir flow is up thru the canopy. Too high velocity can cause the leaves closest to the fans to get 'wind burned' and dry out.
And yes, keep the fans running 24/7.

Do you have the Vivosun fans? Are yours clip fans or larger? I had VS pole fans and they both died in 3 weeks.

cannatom, I have been using the eight inch Flippi Vornado oscillating fans for several years and have only 'worn out' two of them. Them are around $35 to $40 (from Amazon), but are worth it. I also use a small clip on fan (six inch Dura breeze) at the top of the grow space (actually a closet!) as an exhaust fan.
