Has anyone used their 12/12 tent for fruiting shrooms while their girls are in there also?

No but I have a Martha tent right outside of my grow room that will be starting the fruiting cycle in the next few days. I think the reason why most people avoid having their mushrooms in the same room as their plants is because of bacillus trichoderma.... That's one of the most common contaminations when it comes to mycology. If you grow in soil or soilless medium and you have castings or organic matter, chances are there's bacillus trichoderma spores.

They're going to be less then 3 feet from my grow room so I'm hoping it's not going to be too terrible since the substrate is fully colonized.

Mushrooms don't need grow light strength lights....1 LED diode running at .03w would be plenty light for mushrooms. They only use the light to determine when they've broken the soil surface.

It would depend on what you are growing. Dung loving mushies only get pasteurized CVG while wood loving mushies get sterilized substrate. CVG grows iv done in mono tubs in the same room, inoculated pots and added a casing layer, with tub the saying gone " either you get contamination or you dry out and that's the end of that".

I did a grow last year with 2 tents, (1) with plant feeding air though a merv 13 filter to (2) a wood loving mushies tent that recycled CO2 air back to the plants and everything went great, you just got to keep a clean work area. Wood loving block, once colonized if you are getting bacterial or fungal contamination it is coming from your L/C, grains or bad transfor practice. Ones the mycelium colonized with the block you shouldn't get contamination until the blocks are spent.

I agree mycology is way groovy, symbiotic relationships between Mycorrhizae, Saprotrophic, Parasitic in environmental is a door most don't step through.

Flipped my mushrooms to fruiting conditions today. I'm going to write up a whole thread for it because ppl can do this for CO2 reasons not just for mushrooms.

Nice Martha tent No3odiesShad0w be careful or you will find yourself with a new hobby. Mrs.Furley has lost every space where something can move and it's has come to a point that we're opening a location of course it is all Gourmet and the Medicinal stays with Termetes versicolor, Ganoderma multipileum and such at this point. Last year I grew enough cannabis and cubes for personal use that I had to take a break so I started with full time mycology and it just blew up.

What varieties of oysters do you have fruiting there Mr.furley
Quite the impressive set up you have there. With the oysters, you make a seed spawn bag with say rye. Can you just slice that bag open and it will start fruiting? OR should I add Coco/gypsum mix in there too? I messed with those "Back to the Roots" boxes for fun and I noticed they had a Coco mix on top of the seed spawn...... I just can't for the life of me figure out whether they put it in after the seed is colonized or before autoclaving the bag?

They are a Pearl Oyster just harvested the one on the top left tonight, 2.5lb off a 5lb block. You sterilize the substrate in a autoclave then add colonized grains people like rye berry, wheat berry , I use popcorn and sorghum to add to the sterilized bag and seal them. 
 I make all the thing, prints, liquid culture, agar plates, substrate bags, colonized spawn bags in front of a laminar flow cabinet with a hepa filter rated at 99.99 % efficiency down to .03 microns, that is the key to work with clean bags and your missing link I can also work with plant tissue culters in said space. Most people start with a SAB know as a Still Air Box to do transfor, they help but at the scale I'm at I use a wall of clean air.

Mr.furley I have a SAB that I made from a 56 gallon tub and some 4in silicon plugs. I don't have the space for a laminar flow hood. I would love one. I just make rye berry jars with heavy duty foil and microport tape. I autoclave them and then I'm the SAB I inject with spores or live culture. I let that colonize and then I do the tub tek but upside-down. This way I can take off the large portion and just slip the lid with the colonized substrate into my Martha tent. I know oysters prefer vertical growing conditions. I have bags with self healing ports. I need to get them started.
