What distance should metal halide be for seedlings.

Depends on wattage and reflector (to an extent).

Most like fluorescent light since it's easy on them.

I'd pin the reflector to the ceiling and bring it down gradually. Look for stretch or light stress and react accordingly.

I bet with the seedling you want to keep it at the "furthest" setting!!!! ✨

Hammer it on them.....till you feel heat than back off an inch or two....they will not stretch this way they will sit and swell...node after node after node....

Gets them used to the light right off from coming out of ground...have light on like that when germinate...
