Sea of Green Question

I have been reading the Sea of Green tutorial on this site and I do like the idea of growing many small plants. Hopefully I would like to use 2 gallon fabric pots, are these too small or should I use larger pots??? It makes sense that I can get away with smaller pots for smaller plants...

Yep just be ontop of them as things can happen quickly with many plants. I'm getting ready for a 7 plant small cont. auto run myself. These were autos grew 24" I had just tied down the branches but releashed them about a month into flower.

I just reused some old 3 gallon plastic storage containers. drilled some holes in them for good drainage and only added about 2 gallons of soil cause that's all I had left. I grew one Auto (Northern Lights) and 2 photo (Alaskan Purple). Using SOG method, the NL just got cut today. small plant, as I expected because of the container size and an Auto, but the buds were beautiful and nice and fat.

The other 2, the photos, are doing well but I suspect they are getting root bound even though I switched over to 12/12 at 8 weeks so they didn't get much bigger. They are 7 weeks into flower right now and will likely need at least 3 more for the buds to fatten up...see the photos here https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum/growing-community/497654-just-screwing-around-a-bit

I like to grow in a sog style and I use 5 gallon fabric pots for my photos. I just started my 1st autos and I put them in 3 gallon fabric pots. That was the most recommended size when someone on here asked the question what size pots for autos.

If you grow photos sog in 2 gallon pots, give them 2wks after sprout to spread their roots then flip to 12/12 and you’ll be fine.

That's a good call Farmbuck. I mean i love to harvest my 3gal autos but i need somewhat of a challange for myself getting bored of cooped up combo of winter/covid. Hence the folgers :)

Shit SoOrbudgal the only thing I see wrong with the coffee pots is they're a little skinny and look like they could get top heavy. Especially if you grow beautiful autos in them like you do

MeEasy they are approx. 6" wide and 12" tall hold 51oz it says LOL just fine yes i lift them they do not dry out fast. Hubby drilled pencil size holes in them. I wanted to use these for the 3x3x63" for a sog or heck fill the tent grow i'm so bored LOL

I flower clones in 1 gallon pots flipped as soon as they get roots and are transplanted with great results. If you do it from seed they’ll stretch like crazy for 2-3wks before they actually flower so 2 gallon is just right. I LST them down as they grow then once they flower they mostly stop growing and just produce bud. Usually get 2oz per plant this way with little care and it’s a quick grow. If you fill the test with 2 gallon pots you can have a bunch of bud in less than 12wks
