Just stunning Nugs! Your pics are so cool and show how much success you have gotten from your hard work. You should be damn proud and ready for the next.
Thanks TB! I think My next run will include strawberry cough and either original og kush, blue og, or sapphire og. The rest are TBD. I have chemdog, bubba kush, amnesia, lsd, ak48, to name a few.
Oh my, oh my!! Nugzie, I haven't checked in recently. Was admiring plants of page 6 and now on page7 I see your harvest. Looks so fantastic. Some big ass nugs in the bunch. Enjoy dear friend!
Reading all the threads and seeing all the pictures. Yes, I really miss growing. We haven't even sampled our harvest from a few months ago. We are wrapping up some remodeling work this month, and then I am at least going to get an auto started. Don't really need the tent for that. (If you like raunchy but hilarious comedy, watch Russell Brand Ponderland. Pets is a good episode, but they are all funny. youtube) Rated R for Raunchy.
Drying is complete after 5.5 days. Yield was a bit disappointing but expected. Surprisingly they were all about the same weight. I expected the ice bomb to be the big yielder but it wasn't.
Lemon Headband - 2.77 oz
El Fuego - 2.69 oz
Ice Bomb - 2.61 oz
Purple Kush - 2.55 oz
There were so many crowns on the lemon headband, double in fact (26) vs the rest of the year plants due to all the toppings. The nugs were small but dense with a lemon pledge smell and taste. I sampled them all over the last 2 days, the high was a creeper high, took a good 10 minutes to kick in with a typical sativas buzz. Long lasting and bright. Very pleasant. 8/10
El Fuego was the belle of the ball. Expected to be the worst yielder she put out some dense little nugs with a cat piss (ammonia) smell. It's a great smell, very dank. Hashy and citrusy flavor with very heavy effects. The buzz dissipates quickly after about half an hour but it's like you never smoked... no groggy effects from coming down. This one is our favorite. 9/10
Ice bomb definitely has a dominant white widow lineage and you can certainly tell when smelling this one. There's a lot going on with the terpene profile. Undertones of mint and vanilla with a piney up front smell. The taste is just like it smells. Lots of people love this type of profile, I'm not huge on it but I can appreciate why people like it so much. The buzz was surprisingly heavy with a nice pain relief (according to my wife). She likes it more than I do so it's pretty much hers. 7/10
Purple kush had such a wonderful grape dimetap smell. Anyone who's taken grape dimetap knows exactly what I'm talking about. Very unique. The smell dwindled considerably during drying. We were very disappointed, hopefully it returns after the cure. I'm sure it will a little bit. The flavor is unremarkable. The high is sedative and very relaxing. This is my wife's "sleepy meds". Insomniac should def try this one. I give it a decent score only because of the high. 6.5/10
This is after trying each strain only twice now. The cure will probably not reveal much of a difference in flavor or smell, but the smoothness and potency should increase slightly.
Overall im pretty happy with everything. I'll do a follow up review in a couple weeks.
