Removing all leaves the last week of flower

In evaluating the real purpose of fan leaves, I have arrived at the fact, for me, they provide a nice solar panel for the girls. Besides hogging all of the nutrients in the veg state, I have grown to think they are better served in the outdoor growing environment. On my last grow, I wanted to make sure the my buds would maximize in volume, height, and mass, getting them ready for the finish line, where the last week is analogus to ravenous eating before a hibernation. On the last week I trimmed all leaves, leaving only pure buds. The idea was to enhance optimum nutrient until the very last moment in the resevoir. Looking at the leafless buds actually looked pretty far out as a minature bud-filled bonsai tree. My question is has anyone in the community removed all leaves during the last week of flower to enhance total bud feeding of nutruients?

Can't agree with you on that one. I like to let the leaves tell me when they are done. And the plant is not supporting them they are supporting the plant. What you are doing is removing energy from the equation. How is that beneficial?

Going back to the original thought of the actual purpose of a fan leaf, if the fan leaves are dinner-plate size, the buds aren't getting much of that love. However, if the last three weeks are dedicated to increasing length, volume, and mass, that would indicate to me, that the uptake is going to the buds, not leaves. OBW: The results were incredible. All of the recipients are still raving about potency and smoothness.

Pretty sure the potency and smoothness didn’t come from you removing all the leafs on the last week. A good dry and cure will make sure of that, of course if genetics are good. Do that again, but do one plant without taking off leafs and ask the recipients which one they like more bet they won’t be able to tell the difference. I couldn’t tell the difference in dispensary bud from dispensary bud till I strayed growing organic home grown.
