Never once have I heard a man on his death bed say "my one regret is that I didn't spend more time at work". And I've been sitting by more than my fair share in their hour of need.
Got to admit that it surely is satisfying to stand by your principles, scary, but satisfying. I ended up trying to live by this mantra-'work to live not live to work' and that helped me when I had to make some tough choices.
It's been a good couple of days so far waking up knowing I don't have to go back to working there.
Couple of potential job prospects and lots of smoking.
Been outside in the beautiful summer weather tending to the vegies and got a dart board for the back patio. 27 Years old and I'd never thrown a dart in my life until a couple of days ago.
Tika I love that. comment you made to a post above with all the F words. I'm gonna have to use that line sometime. Maybe not on a person, at least not to their face. Maybe next time I burn my hand getting a casserole out of the oven. LOL
I suck at darts. I got banned from playing at a relatives house because the dart board was mounted to the cement block wall in the basement. My darts kept hitting the wall........not good for the sharp points. I also suck at bowling, but I was on a league for about 5 years. My team won the league championship twice because of our high handicap due to my really bad average. I blame it on being a southpaw.
