quick update and question

so major changed happened since i last posted. quick update and then my question. So i entered a drawing and won some pretty wicked seeds. I started a nirvana Durban seed like the 24th of march and i placed the seed in rockwool for some reason well i got roots through and it is now in coco solo cup until ready for transplant.

I also planted a Y griega CBD strain as well on the 27th into soil (don't remember the pop date off had but i got this at the THC expo and started it that night) this little beauty is growing so very well, that it looks to be the best grown plant right now (lol). its working on its 7th node in a 3 inch height, this plant may be the one that gives me that tingly feeling down wonder..

I decided to do some playing with some clones as well as moving everything i am running around. I took the 600w from the flower room to leave that room with 3 air cooled hoods/tube. I placed the 600w mh into the veg room and removed a t-5 light so this room will have 1 4f8b t-5, and one 4f4b t-5 (4 bulb is for incoming veg plants from clone tent so this is adjustable). taking the t-5 i had in veg and placing it in the clone tent along with the 4f8b and a 2f4b t-5s ( tent temps are 79 and 48rh no inline fan just two 6" station fans, will be placing a 4" inline in their).

flower room is going to be getting a major upgrade in the next 4 weeks as we are moving the flowing room to a 14'x13'x8.3' area ( not exact but close), now instead of buying HPS 1000w i was looking into 630w LEC lights ( from reading a 315w is good for a 4'x4' area which is a 1000w HPS please correct if wrong), but i have been talked into by two others that COB lights are the way to go now. now i have no real clue to these cob lights but that they are full spec lights aprx 6k lum or something, 100w types. now with this size of an area and its going to be in a building with no hvac (so i am going to do my own with inline fans and a/c unit/heater (havac tech)), COB's i do feel for the size they would make excellent off-set lighting in between the LEC lights (4 LEC 315w and 8 Cob, lined and spaced even on ceiling with a cob in between each with other 5 around the side walls).

the other options is 2x 630w LEC and 12 COB 100w lights spread over ceiling, looking into the LEC price to the COB lights, their is some change in the prices as LEC 630w hood/bal w/o bulb i can pick them up for around $300 ea and the cob 100W with heat sink/fan i can pick those up from $40-80 ea i do have the buy a ballast for those but from the research, some ballast can run up to 4 lights and im still searching for prices on these. I feel that if i am able to move them and place them in a spot that is covering blind spots i am able to get more light per sq in, thus covering more area. correct me if anything is not correct as COB lights are not something i have a clue about but even adding them as extra would be nice. seeing heat is cut dramatically from these sources and energy is not as much as an HPS light is using or producing heat.

I was planning on creating a cool air flow or even a liquid cooled system for the COB's ( i would be creating its own ducts basically) compared to if i just went LEC i wouldn't be using any closed cooling system and running CO2 in this room as well. I can change over the HPS hoods or pick up another cool tube and use those as LEC lights creating a cooling system that would feed each tube individual then combined for exhausting propose.

the room would as well have 2 6" cool air vents into the room to keep temp moderate (74-78*) and i would be using a dehumidifier and a humidifier to adjust RH or just a dehum and placing misting jets (4) in the room (not my cup of tea for the buds tho best for veg room i think). as well as a 6" I.F exhausting from a C.F inside the room to an exhaust vent outside the room. the room will be seal otherwise and i will have neg pressure in the room so things may change as we go thru the plans, and figure out lights.

going to create a plan this week and start prepping the room for build, I will be taking photos as i go along and showing how to create a great grow room so any input and suggestion are welcomed because i want to build this up and not have to touch a damn thing ever again lol

the real question is this, tho i noticed some plants that where revegged have deformed leafs, everything else looks fine attached pics
