Drain to waste run off at 10-30% The % is of what? Volume of pot? Volume of input?
I have grown without flushing until end. Currently flushing after
every two feeds. Why is it suggested to flush during grow period?

I believe the excess watering is to keep the salts and metals from building up in the pot. When watering, after the pot starts to drain, I add about 20% more water than what I've already added. Example: If the pot starts draining after 1/2 gallon of water, i add about another 1/8 gallon. BTW, really nice pics.:)

I agree, gorgeous pics! Everyone does it differently but I don't really "flush" during the grow except if there's a problem. I just make sure I'm getting some amount of runoff every time to help remove excess nutrients so they don't build up in the soil. I go by the amount of water I put in, but I think the main idea is to get plenty of runoff but not an excessive amount :)

I'm not sure why it won't let you post from your iPad :( What happens when you try to post?

Thanks folks- cleared that up for me. pS: the "tile" image I posted is "libation served to a vegetation goddess"...wonder how many there are throughout time all over the planet.

Huh! I will then return to straight feed unless issues come up. Sure simplifies the calendar. And flush at the end. How big of files can the forum handle? Can it take pdfs? Thinking of posting the Journal? Or is that plain rude?
As always
