Question about the Veg and Flower switches on my lights.

I almost always go 24

A lot of commercial grow facilities use 24/0 for the first week or two and then switch to 18/6.

I go 18/6 when they go in the soil..seems to work ok

Are you going to be starting a thread for your grow? I’d like to follow along with your AI’s, I just harvested two fairly similar set up lighting wise and medium.

This is my first time with two vipar's 450's..love em..I really underplanted..these lights are powerful. Have a great pic of my 6 dark Angels under the two lights but machine won't let me load any pics..next grow will be 12..

Only certain file types are allowable. Check your file extension.

I have the same two lights and 6 is certainly more than enough plants for me! I will do 4 in the future - cannot imagine doing 12

I really wish I would’ve done two lights in my small tent. I could’ve done two 300s for less than the PAR 450 the crossover of the light and larger footprint would’ve produced better yields on my AIs I think.

Wow 6 plants for 2 viparspectrum 450s? I went from four to 3 to 2. I only run 4 under a 1000 watt hps/mh

For vegetative yes way more than enough to start them. But flowering my yield per plant went way way way up going from 4 to 2. Think 3 ounces per to 10.

Yeah, I could get the same/similar yield with fewer plants. I don't think I would get more though. I have 5 different strains, which is part of my madness. Also very different flowering periods, so light will improve for longer period plants as shorter period plants are removed. I have two of the longest flowering strain and expect to only have those two left in the tent for the last 3 weeks.

You will get better. Try 1 or 2 plants and use both lights for them. And baby those plants.

One plant per vipar' 450? The girls get premium conditions..I need to prune much sooner. I let the new flowering plants fan leaves on for almost 3 weeks, depriving lower buds. Nutrition is the only thing I can think of as well. Love the challenge!
