HELP! Question about storage

I have a couple of good grows under my belt now. I have used quart size amber Ball jars with a 62% Boveda pack to store my fruits. I have a friend that swears by using C-Vaults for storage. I was gifted a few and I was looking for feedback about preferences for storage.

Howdy Novice, sealed glass jars (jelly jars, Mason jars, etc.) work best and cost less as well. The only advice I can give is avoid plastic containers as they are porous and can affect the taste and smell of the bud over time. Also, for long term storage I keep the jars in the freezer.
 
I'm a bit of a jar snob, I admit it. I love the Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni jars because the lids are one piece and they are wide mouth in a variety of sizes. But they've gone up in price, so you have to hunt around for a good price.
 
I use the large ~quart sized pickle jars. One time I didn't completely wash it out apparently and it left a dill taste in my bud. Not too bad.....

Hay 3Berries, you may have discovered something! Flavored bud! First dill, then maybe ranch or marinara, or salsa, just imagine the possibilities LOL! just funnun ya.
 
Jars with narrow mouths suck, so I wouldn't say just "any" jar. Let's be honest: you want to be able to reach in and feel around a bit. And the two piece lids also suck, I mean, who makes this shit? Sadists, that's who.

I say go with Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni: the perfect jars. One piece lids, solid stainless steel, nice heavy glass jars with wide mouths, in a variety of sizes.

How lovely those would make great giveaway jars alltatup LOL of course i will repurpose jars and correct my statement for those who can't fit their fingers into smaller " mouths " so if you got issues using repurpose peanut butter or mayo, pickle jars by all means choose wisely LOL
 
Howdy alltatup, the reason for the two-piece lids are to allow the steam pressure out of the jars during the canning process. A one-piece lid will not seal properly, but the two-piece lid does, as the jar cools down, the separate top can seal down and create a vacuum seal The ring (screw on part) is left loose, and this allows the top to seal with the jar as it cools. But, as for our storage pourpouses, the single ;id is fine, that is why I have not purchased any new jars, I just re-use the salsa and spaghetti sauce jars.
 
5 gal food safe plastic buckets (5 bucks) with gamma seal lids (10 bucks) obviously not to store an ounce. But when you have pounds it's not cheap or practical to have dozens of mason jars. I use 64 ounce mason to store the small amounts I'm using every day so I don't open the buckets so often

Hang the shoots individually in the tent is my favorite. Of course, in dry conditions, for example,
it may be advantageous to hang the plants as a whole, upside down.

I let the flowers pre-dry. Depending on the density.

Likewise, when I work with a drying net, I like to put them in a jar while they are damp for a short time.
This distributes the moisture back to the smaller specimens.

Pharmacy amber jars or Weck jars are my choice.
Once they are ready for final storage, this is done without boveda, hygrometer or other tools.

You can tell the status by the look, smell and how the flowers feel.
If you always work with aids, you make yourself mentally dependent on them.

Better to divide the harvest among several jars. So you lose less flowers in the worst case.

Edit: Preference about Storage not drying .. srry.
