Question about smart pots

This is my first grow I'm about 2 weeks in and I have 2 1gal smart pots. My babies are already coming through the pot I know it's suppose to air prune but I have them sitting on saucers and they retain moisture. I'm worried that the roots will continue to grow out at the bottom maybe I'm worried over nothing any suggestions or advice?

Sorry, I don't know much about smart pots, but if you are in soil of any type, you need 3-5 gal pots. If you want a 3' plant 3 gal pot.

New growth I use 5 gal smart pots. They sit in saucers too but not in a puddle . I try to drain them well but they are moist on the bottom after feeding/ watering. When I told my hydro guy I had roots coming out the bottom he just grinned and said they are healthy. I agree with Sonnyhad...move to bigger pots.

Dont worry, be happy. I once had a plant in a cloth pot sitting on the ground outside and the roots went right through the pot and into the ground. I had to cut them off to get the pot up.
just cut them off if they bather you.

Hi New Growth, I've always believed bigger is better, I use 5# smart pots cause a few more lbs. of media will pay off in the long run.One of Smart pots advantages is drainability so raise her up a little on some kind of grate. Home improvement stores have all sizes of wire shelving. Set the whole shebang on some kind of catch pan for run off and you're good to go. I shim up the back side a little bit to make PH testing easier. Then hit it with the shopvac. My wife always wonders where the lids for her storage totes go. Peace out.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I went ahead and moved them to 5 gal pots I just wanted to get ahead of the curve. they drooped a little hopefully they will bounce back and I will be rewarded.
