Put the back of your hand as close as you can to your light for 30 seconds. If you can do that without burning you. That's as close as you can put the top of your plants..

Heat bulb? Need to keep temps below low 80's during flower if at all possible.

Veg state is your 18/6 using the fluorescent bulb when you go 12/12 that is with the bright heat bulb, take a pic of plants to be sure and show here. But go with height on your plants when to switch to hot bulb. You don't want the plant to grow touching the light.
