Planted outside from seed 6 weeks ago.. Premature budding

Pics are taken today. I am thinking about carefully trimming the buds off and hopefully goes back to veg. .. I am also concerned about it morphing.. I have never seen this happen before. It has been in the same sunny spot since germination ... Any guidance and or help is appreciated. Thank you in advance..

What kind of seeds? auto or photo? Are they gettting 18 hrs of sunlight? If they are photo then my guess is that they are not geeing enough sun. Cutting off the buds wont do anything but cut off the bud. To re veg you would need to make sure they get 18 hrs of light and they should re-veg after a few weeks. They will look funky as they start to re-veg but that is normal.
 
Thank you Tersky. They are photo. Getting 14 hours of sun a day. That is just how long the sun is out, here in central Florida now. So I should just leave them be and let nature do the rest as the days get longer?
 
You can do that. 14 hrs may not be long enough though i feel like it should be getting close. Typically i suggest between 16-18 hr of light for veg period. If you plan to grow them out the full season i highly recommend repotting in a MUCH larger pot. I wouldnt do anything under 10 gal for such a long veg time but you could grow a tree in a hundred gallon lol.
 
Cutting the buds won't stop it from flowering. Are they getting enough sunlight during these 14 hours? A few of my outdoor clones were getting very little sun a while ago, and they began flowering even though they shouldn't based on the light cycle. Either way, as the northern hemisphere moves closer to summer, your plants should naturally re-veg and start growing very twisted and strange leaves, but that's temporary and eventually they'll grow normal leaves again. The upside to this is that, during the flowering period, plants will branch out a lot, so once it re-veges you would have a very bushy plant which could be heavily defoliated in order to increase its bud sites even further in preparation for its next flowering period.
 
I was going to put it in a 40 gallon next week. And just let it grow from there.. The sunlight really doesn't significantly reduce until mid-late July so there is time. Hey Tersky I appreciate you taking the time .. I am starting to think perhaps all is not lost. Do you think I should leave the buds? Or better to remove them?
 
Definitely not enough light. I’m going to wait till next month to put them outside. I’m in California.
 
Misk These all went into early flower last year do to the same reason yours are doing. Nothing you can do it's a long process of revegging back into growth then they flower again. They turned out OK not primo but still we got decent bud. If you click you can blow them up see the scars from buds dried out i scraped them off when they dried to a crisp. Did not get the yield but still we had enough too trade with. They do recover and revert, it's just more work picking out the old growth so new leaf can form. Oh yes we also had wildfires 15mi from us so smoke damage LOL

As much sunlight as possible. No shade nearby.. I live way out in the forest and hills. Very private, so out in the wide open air. I was thinking the same thing about the tilt of the Earth going in my favor.. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and the words of comfort azorahai.. Thank you..
 
Yep, both of mine started flowering. Looking like the early start is going to be wasted. Oh well, more info for next time. ;)

Sprouted March 20th, been indoors for 2 months. Matched light to 14 hour days. Was not enough to continue veg.
 
SoOrbudgal, I moved here 2 years ago from the Central Valley ( Manteca ) and the smoke would come down and accumulate every year the last few years I lived there. I am glad you and your plants made it. Thank you for sharing your experience with me... As they say here in the south " Ya'll are some really nice folks" ... See I am adapting to my new environment..
 
Myself I would replant and let those do their thing.
Were they started inside or outside? Everything I start inside does just what yours has Misk . I think next year I will plant clones or starts about 2-3 feet tall, to do this with and plant seed at the same time they set out for a fall crop.
 
Rwise, I started it outside.. I have a couple more seeds I was thinking about starting today out in the same spot. It is the sunniest spot on the property.. Thank you for some more food for thought..
