Intergalactic, you totally lost me!! What a horrible image that brings to mind of caterpillers chewing on my girls!! And your mad scientist says "what if" WHAT???????
 
in the article they spoke of how the sound of caterpillars chewing may cause some plants to produce defensive mechanisms. what if cannabis gets the sounds played to them? maybe stimulate resin production?
 
Those caterpillars should learn to chew with their mouths closed...

Seriously though, I have picked up on some plants' energies like crazy. It's true that I was high at the time, but it put me more in touch with the energy field. Some of 'em are intelligent, and they're kinda like dogs, it's like they belong with us, they get along with us well. I do believe that the right energies comin at them from us can stimulate the capitate stalked resin glands as Jorge Cervantes calls them...
