ph

Lemon juice is probably your best option. It's quite strong. Vinegar works but doesn't have a good reputation for holding ph steady. Sulphuric acid is one of the best- get it clean at an automotive place obviously not from a battery. Phosphoric acid is also good.

Commercial ph down is usually phosphoric acid. Price is raised astronomically when it's marketed to stoners. In my country it's about ten dollars a gallon at Home Depot and about six times that much at a grow supply. Not that this is crazy expensive really because it will last for years. But my point is it's not magic. It's just acid. Many types of acid will work.

There's no way to answer that. It expends what it is you are trying to adjust. A high ppm solution takes a lot more ph* or ph- to shift it.
I said its strong- obviously it's not as strong as pure sulphuric acid or anything like that. But it does work well. Just. Start with a couple drops and kelp checking your ph meter.
You can use lemons, or buy the bottled stuff. Or get powdered citric acid.

Out of the two 'natural' household choices, lemon juice or vinegar will be the two usual suspects.
