PH meters

Another newbie question, don't want to remake someone else's mistake.

There are two or more types of meters, liquid and soil. I would think a soil tester might give more accurate readings because you could test right at the roots.

I've been wrong many times in my life and I want to do everything possible to be right on my grow.

Soil tester might be more accurate, but then the water is already in the dirt and you really can't change the pH then. But if you have a liquid tester, then one can be sure the water is at the pH you want it to be. I never really perused soil testers, cuz I just assumed they tested how much water or lack of it is in the dirt.

I highly recommend Blue Lab ph pen I test my nutrients before going in and occasionally test my run off. It is easy to calibrate, and WELL worth the cost for it and it's materials. I gave this had a pH problem since I started using it. I love it.

I use the liquid drops..it Never lies. I do have the blue lab ppm meter..awesome..needs no calibration...simple

No need four soil tester...it is what it is
test it when it comes out then you know...

Ph..6 at all times...6.5 gives you no room

I have a Hanna Pen it's water proof and yes I've dropped it in a 5 gallon jug it works great. You want to control the liquid that goes into the dirt after you pick the best growing medium.

I tried both and have gotten the same readings but that's because I PH all the liquid before watering and feeding.

Mud nutrients go in at 6 or 6.1
What do you think the waste should be?

6.5 or lower
7 very most then fix it .....
