Ph meter

Do you mean the litmus test strips? I don't see why that shouldn't be adequate. At least you're testing. It's nice to have a gadget for this and a gadget for that, but it gets costly.

Oh sorry, it should work if that's what it for. Sorry, I never have a pH problem so I don't have a pH kit. Maybe someone else will answer.

I use the pH test kit your talking about. When I didn't use anything my plants were ok but after I started using that test kit my plants seem healthier. So I would say it works.

I do need to interject here:
i used the liquid that came with ph up and down for a year and a half. At that time I started to add Floralicious, molasses, etc. after additives it is my opinion that one cannot get an accurate color read...because the nutrients are not clear. They become muddy. Also during that time I had leaf issues. Now with the Blue Lab I may at the end of flower have tiny tips of nutrient burn and it doesn't matter by then I m o . ( currently add Terpinator and Bloom to my GH trio.
my leaves are good
ph stands at 6.0 -6.1 no problems thus far

Problem I have with the indicator drip system is it looks different under different lights. Have to check in natural sunlight maybe? I bought a cheap pen and calibration solution, would like to upgrade someday but there's a long list of stuff ahead of it.
