Ozbud's neglected third grow. 3 auto strains, greenhouse.

Hi all, It's your fav Aussie back here again. I pop in briefly from time to time but I've been flat out at work so haven't had much play time.

I've got my third grow going at the moment. Getting rid of some free seeds from my last order as well as a couple left over from last grow.
2x Auto Afghan Kush Ryder - World of seeds
2x Auto Purple Ryder - Seedsman
2x Hindu Kush - Seedsman.

I haven't taken any notes and they've been fairly neglected to tell you the truth. I still have enough bud left from last grow that it doesn't matter how this one turns out.
They're in 3.5gal pots hiding away in the back of my greenhouse where they don't get the best sunlight.
They're in a mix of about 60% organic soil, 30% coco (same stuff I use indoors) and 5% perlite 5% vermiculite.
They get watered two or three times a week and might get a feed using full GH line nutes once a week if they're lucky, usually about every 10 days I'd guess.
I have no idea when I started them or how old they are. Maybe 5 or 6 weeks...

Funny story about the hindu Kush on the table hidden amongst eggplant, chillies, capsicum and a couple of potatoes the mrs snuck in.

One seed actually had two seedlings emerge from the one seed, I checked the couple of jiffys that didn't germinate and the seeds were definitely in them, I didn't accidentally double seed.
After a couple of days this one was the runt so I just pulled it out, snapping off part of the tap root as I did so. As a bit of a laugh I thought I'd stick it in the vegetable potting mix in the table and see how long it would take to die. Well here we are weeks later and it's still alive so I just left it there.

Beautiful greenhouse, Oz: I love seeing all the different kinds of plants in there together, with the beautiful geraniums. I have kept runts, and they always end up giving me something fabulous.

Morning OzBud, How do you like your strawberry job,? I bet that it's ok, can you get to eat strawberries for free ??

OZbud, I wouldn't put my pot plant together with my houseplants. BUGS.

It's a little 3x3m (9.8'x9.8') one from the local hardware store, few hundred bucks. Mostly got it to increase yields from warm loving things like chillies, capsicum, eggplant that don't do so well outside with our short growing season and to start off seedlings for the vegie gardens. Sometimes I'll go sit in there for an hour or so and smoke up.

I do preventative spraying on the vegies using organic sprays since pests like sheltered greenhouse environments, the only thing I've had problems with are little grasshoppers from time to time. Anything going into the greenhouse that I didn't germinate in there myself is quarantined and treated first.

It's growing season where I am below 40 degrees south of the equator. Definitely not jealous of the cold weather I see on the news in the US at the moment

I'm glad your in the forum Ozbud cause this cold sucks and it is nice to see outside plants , I do have a 10'x10' space I could put a greenhouse, I didn't think those little ones were rugged enough I will have to look into them hmmm

I've had a small one previously, thin metal poles and plastic joiners.That was terrible.

This is what I'm currently working with

1.4" steel frame, no plastic corners or joiners. skin comes in 3 sections, two ends and the main cover, all have ratchets on them to tighten them down. Takes two people a couple of hours to put together.
It does require more anchoring than provided but once I did that it's pretty solid.

Bit of a picture update, I don't think I've given any nutes since last update, going to do that today.
Been playing around with a bit of a diy hydroponic grow tube on the bench. Going to put a few strawberry plants in it today, maybe something else as well, haven't decided yet.

can't eat any of the strawberries because we don't grow the fruit, we're a nursery so we grow the plants for the fruit growers. We're constantly deflowering the plants so they spend all their energy on growing runners. They're on a veg only feed recipe high in nitrogen
Since we don't grow the fruit we can spray the plants with a lot nastier stuff so any berries that do get a chance to from are not edible.

they're very popular, all the family and friends are always asking if we've got any more. I even mail them to mates on the other side of the country.
