Wow am I glad gwe is back, sure missed everyone. Anyway I wanted to share some pics and thoughts on my outdoor grow. This was the first year I tried an outdoor grow since I was in my 20's. It had to be a guerilla grow and that in itself opens a Pandora box of potential problems. After 3 failed attempts to get plants to survive seedling stage ( did not start plants inside because I had a grow already in progress ) and having used all of my fem seeds, about the first of June I decided to throw a hale Mary and I dug up an area and just scattered about 300 bag seeds. Out of those only about 20 survived to maturity and of those I ended up with 10 females. I never topped, just let them grow naturally. I'm most of the pics it looks like one big plant but there is one where u can see that it is 10 different ones.
I just harvested 3 days ago because mold had set in on a couple cola even though I treated for mold. They could have used a solid week more to get fully mature, but I would have lost most or all to mold if I had waited. All in all I would have to say that while the potential harvest from an outdoor grow can dwarf an indoor harvest the risk and problems outdoor growers face are almost nonexistent in an indoor grow.
The thrill of tending your plants, the adrenaline rush of doing it all in guerilla methods is tempered by the stress of not knowing if u will even have plants when u go back. Then when they begin to flower the anxiety doubles because you know you are close and the closer you get the more anxious ya get :sweating:
Outdoor growers have my respect! Oh and let's not forget the shear amount of physical labor involved in packing soil etc to a grow site. Anyway here are some pics I hope ya ll enjoy.

About a 10 mile drive then a short walk, it was in the end of a field surrounded by a thicket. It got full morning and afternoon sun till about 3pm
 
Thanks! I'm gonna try again next year but I will be sure my tent is open so I can start them inside. I want to get to where I can supply my own needs with one indoor and one outdoor grow a year.
 
Very very wonderful! The fine rewards of determination. I have 2 outside for the very first time as well. NOW I get why peeps grow outside :) what a RUSH

Well I ended up with 12.5 oz of nice bud. Like I said before the plants aren't as big as they looked in the pics so I'm really pleased with the yeild. I had hoped for 10 oz so I'm good :)
 
Fantastic work, Joker!! They always look so stunning when they're growing outdoors. You made it through to harvest and nary a bud was stolen!!!!
 
You're a lucky dog Joker to have made it through to harvest. Looking Wild wild, wild! Is it private property or BLM land? It is almost impossible to escape the ubiquitous eumans (Carl Sagan pronunciation https://www.reddit.com/r/carlsagan/comments/2hv6i1/does_anyone_else_think_he_says_human_weird/) scrambling across the planet. Did you know Carl smoked? I do not know if he grew, but he definitely smoked. He was one of my favorite eumans.

There is no way I could grow at my urban home site even with the 12X20 foot greenhouse I have erected there. I have another semi urban that I wouldn't risk it at. However I just acquired 3.25 rural bucolic acres that is ideal with a beautiful farm house and numerous outbuildings. I grew outdoors this season without any fears. Well almost . I will put up a greenhouse at this locale next year, and be safe from the threats of wind and hail.
 
Wow that's interesting, did not know about Carl Sagan smoking, I bet alot more prominent people do than we know about. You're right, it's tough to grow outdoors unless u have a set up like u described with your new acres. The main reason I got away with it is that I carved a spot our right in the middle of a briar thicket...thankfully most people try to avoid briars
 
I remember reading Carl talk about one of the first times he got high, if not the first time--and how he observed his mind working with the doors of perception open. Never forgot that...

Carl's most important message, even more important than the Pioneer plaque, was his last episode of Cosmos Who Speaks For the Earth? More so who speaks for the species homo sapiens? Carl spoke eloquently for us. A true patriot to the species. His loyalty unbounded in the face of our extinction. Listening to Vangelis's Oceanic on my Sennheisers so as not to disturb the wifey. That oceanic cosmic feeling paramount in my psyche. The music seems to be reverberating off of the holographic edge of the universe and I am not even high. I am Carl as you are Carl as you are me.
