question first what does everyone use to mark there plant tags with I have tried the pen that came with tags and sharpies just cant keep them from washing off.
ok the story I have 4 chickens left out of 14 they stopped laying but I dont have the heart to kill them ,anyways they have there own yard between my and the neighbors so I was in gh and came over to deck for something and a chicken is out howed that happen I thought and put her back in the yard went in cellar and when I came out a different one was out WTF i said put her back in then went back to work next time I turned around theirs a chicken so now I walked around the coop looking for holes ,no holes so I said to myself well you better clip there wings so I went to get the scissors I keep in there garage stall ,grabbed the scissors and walked out was about 10 steps out when I realized the garage door was open the whole morning , birds must of thought I was crazy for leaving the door open and then putting them back in fenced yard , so I put the scissors away closed the door and no more chickens got out lol in story form it doesn't sound that funny but keep in mind this was over a 4 hour period and I must of walked by that open door a dozen times

Use something to etch into the plastic and mark over it.
Are you sure your rotisserie birds haven't pieced together their own garage door opener? Maybe used subliminal chicken messages or chicken-to-human hypnosis to make you THINK you closed the door? I'm a city boy but I've been to plenty of carnivals that have chickens smarter than my dates.
Check out 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'. It's a great movie in all. There's one chapter 'Meal Ticket' that is apropos.

I wrap the barrels of the syringes (used for measuring the nutes) with the clear packing tape to prevent the graduation marks from being rubbed off from use. It works very well!

thats a great idea thanks ,to late this year we are going to have about 20 plants of mix 7 or 8 strains ,with the tags wore off

I have chickens too, picked up a pair of "GEMs" that were in a small cage. They luv my huge yard but, they figured out they are birds, and to that they took to the air! I always new they could fly, but didn't, when they hit 30 feet up, flew around the yard, over the open gate and down on the other side of the house. I did clip 1 wing on each of these girls, I dont want them to attract a hawk!
I keep notes on where my plants are outdoor and tags inside, I use a Popsicle stick with a (free) business card a bit or duct tape, permanent marker,,,
