Obi-Wan’s Jedi OG 2.0

This grow will consist of clones from 4 of the 6 females from my ongoing Jedi OG grow from seed. This grow is DWC in my 3x3x6 tent with normal compliment of Dyna-Gro nutrients. The lighting is my recently completed DIY 500 watt Quantum Board Fixture. The fixture was built with 8-QB132 boards in the 3500k spectrum and measures 32”x34”. I split the 8 boards into 2 sets of 4 and powered each set in series with a MeanWell HLG-240H-C1750b driver. Both drivers are mounted remotely with Rapid Led cased potentiometers. I have the drivers set to 120 watts each(240 total) and the fixture is at 36” from the tops of the clones.

I’ve been really bad about updating this journal. This was them at day 18 after the first two toppings. I left 7-8 branches with the first topping and then 2 weeks later I kept the 5 strongest branches from each plant and topped each of them.

And here they are on day 6 of 12/12 after a 42 day veg period.

Today is day 14 of 12/12 and this post brings the journal up to date. I have each driver set to 150 watts for a total draw of 300 watts. The fixture is currently 15 inches from the tallest tops. EC is 1.4 and pH is 5.8. I switched nutrients 2 weeks into this grow, they are now being given Jack’s 3-2-1 formula. I still love DynaGro’s nutrients, just wanted to try something new.

Day 21 of 12/12 and they’ve continued to stretch. EC dropped down to 1.2 and was brought back up to 1.4. pH drifted up to 6.2 and was brought back down to 5.7. The 2 plants in the back are the #4 and #2 cuts while the 2 in the front are the #3 and #5 cuts. Through my sampling of the buds from the initial grow, all 4 cuts have similar flavor and effect so my ultimate decision on which cut or cuts to keep will come down to yield and growth pattern.

Day 31 of 12/12, I did a full reservoir change on Monday. Set the pH to 5.6 and the EC is 1.4.

Day 37 of 12/12, the 4 girls combined to consume 10 gallons of water since the reservoir change 9 days ago. EC is 1.4 and pH is 5.9. This is about the 1/2 way point of flowering for this run, roughly 33 days until harvest.

Day 43 of 12/12 and today I took a few shots of the girls just as the lights went off. These ladies are giving off a heavy aroma of pine/lemon/fuel. The buds on the #2 and # 4 cuts (back) are showing good hard density from the top down into the lower canopy, while the #3 and #5 cuts (front) are showing good bud density at the top of the canopy but the lower buds are a bit more airy.

These ladies were harvested today on day 64 of 12/12. I’m very happy with the results so far. The quality/density of the buds is great and the trich production is outstanding. I’ll follow up in a week or so with dry weight totals.
