And some harvest pictures. Blackberry #1, this is the darker purple of the 2, noticeable foxtailing but absolutely beautiful.

And the start of Blackberry #2, I left the lower 1/3 of the plant to mature for another 3-5 days.

Been awhile since I updated this thread. Blackberry and Tangie yielded 341 grams total between the 4 plants, not bad for a 400w hps in a 3x3 space. The next 2 in the rotation are G14 Hashplant by Fastbuds on the right side at 46 days old, the one in the front has received my normal defoliation practice, while the one in the back has not been touched other than the topping. I’m giving them about 14-21 days before they are ready. On the left of the tent are another G14 and a G. Glue also by Fastbuds at 30 days old and just showing the very first signs of flowering. Both were topped with no other training or trimming to this point.

Harvest day for the 2 G14, 3 days earlier than my previous estimate but at 10% amber I don’t want to let them go any longer. A couple of quick notes before I harvest, this has been a lazy grow by my standards, I’ve been busy at work so I haven’t had the time to do my normal upkeep so that’s how I came to treat the 2 plants differently, by no means is this a scientific experiment but based on how these 2 plants have grown and matured I have come to 2 conclusions Prior to harvest.

IMO........

1. There is no doubt in my mind that lollipopping directly affect the density of the mid-level buds.

2. Defoliation, or what we in the cannabis community refer to as defoliation, when performed responsibly, has neither a positive or negative effect on bud growth, density, or overall yield.

Pictured below are the 2 subjects, the plant on the left was not trimmed at all prior to today other than the initial topping. The plant on the right was given my normal trimming regime that includes lollipopping and controlled defoliation.

A few pics of the harvest. Top row on the drying rack came from the plant that was not touched, second row down is from the plant that was lollipopped and defoliated. All the larf on the lower tier came from the untouched plant.
