Obi-Wan’s Auto Grow

So here goes, I haven’t grown auto’s since my first grow and I want to try my hand at a perpetual harvest so we’ll see if I can make this work. On to the set-up.....

Grow Space-3x3x6 tent
Light-400 watt HPS, Hortilux Bulb
Medium-4 site DWC, 3.75 gallon each
Nutrients-GH Flora Trio with, Cali-Magic, Armor Si, Liquid Kool Bloom, Hydroguard, Orca, and SLF-100.

Genetics- Fast Buds Tangie-Matic and Blackberry
Seeds were germinated using the paper towel method on 5/2 and placed in Rapid Rooters on 5/4.

Tangie #1- Back Left, first to open up on 5/5
Tangie #2- Front Left, getting ready to join the rest of us
Blackberry #1-Back Right, opened up 5/6
Blackberry #2-Front Right, opened up today, 5/7

PPM’s are at 300
pH-5.8
Light is currently hung at 32” above the babies

From my research with these genetics I expect the Blackberry to go 63-70 days and the Tangie-Matic to be 77-84 days. This should allow me to drop 2 more seeds a week before I harvest the Blackberry thus kicking off what I hope to be a 2 plant harvest every 30-40 days.

On Deck- Fast Buds-G14, Gorilla Glue, Girl Scout Cookie, and Pineapple Xpress.

Kicking off week 2 of this grow. All 4 plants are dipping their feet/roots in the water. These next 2 weeks should bring some impressive growth.

PPM/EC=600/1.2 respectively
pH=5.7

Hey obi! Girls are looking good so far! I really like how clean your setup is. I have the same size tent, and that same exact fan lol. Eager to see how this grow goes for ya!

Starting week 3 and everyone is happy, healthy, and growing fast. All 4 plants were topped removing the 4th node during week 2. I will spread out the remaining 6 mains on each plant using the individual trellis training aids I DIY’d from tomato cages. I’ve used these my last 4 grows and they make training on a 5 gallon hydro bucket so easy.

PPM/EC=850/1.7
pH=5.9

Beginning of week 4 and nothing new to report other than bigger plants. Growth is fast, if they were photoperiod plants I’d be thinking of flipping them in a week, so it’ll be interesting to see when they start flowering.

PPM/EC=900/1.8
pH=5.8

Morning Obi-Wan, your plants are looking nice,
I hope you have better luck than I did, my 2 best healthy plants, a C4 and a Fastberry from FastBuds, never did flower at over 60days, Same way with a RedPoison auto, never flowered,
I took them 3 out to the woods, to let them do their own thing. Lol
Yours are very nice, and good luck with them.

Day 30 and all 4 plants are starting to flower right on time. I have removed all training rings and the girls are starting to reach for the light.

PPM/EC=900/1.8
pH=5.8

Day 37 and growth/ flowering continues to be strong. 1 of the Blackberry plants is already showing purple which caught me by surprise this early in flower. The Tangie’s are about 10” shorter than the Blackberry’s. I really couldn’t ask for a better grow at this point. I hope they finish up as trouble free as they’ve started.

PPM/EC=900/1.8
pH=5.9

Day 44 and I’m figuring the Blackberries have about 3 weeks left so I’m germinating 2-G14 seeds to take their place in the rotation. The 2 Tangie-Matics have started stretching up and closing the canopy gap.

Blackberry- PPM/EC=800/1.6. pH=5.8
Tangie-Matic-PPM/EC=900/1.8. pH=5.9

Day 51- buds continue to build all around. I am thoroughly impressed with the vigor of these seeds. The size, density and development of the buds is unlike anything I have witnessed while growing clones. The RH spiked at 68% this past week necessitating a defoliation, it is now steady at 45% and as expected none of the plants show any signs of slowed growth or bud development as a result of the defoliation.

Blackberry EC/PPM=1.4/700
pH=5.9
Tangie-Matic EC/PPM=1.6/800
pH=5.9

Campesino I can’t see myself going back to clones. The symmetry of seeds makes for easy training and when combined with the added vigor, makes for an easy decision.

Day 59-The 2 Blackberry girls are getting fat but I thinking at least 10-14 days remain. The Tangie are frosting up nicely but will probably be with me for another 21-28 days. The smell from both are incredible with the Blackberry giving off an earthy sweet aroma and the Tangie smells of fresh orange zest.

Blackberry EC/PPM=1.1/550
pH=5.9
Tangie EC/PPM=1.4/700
pH=5.9
