Newbie needs advice on nutes please!

I've got an Early Miss that will be 6wks old in two days. She looks healthy to me but like I said in the title, I'm way new at this. She's 18" tall and is about 11" below the light. My 1st question is about the nutes I've been giving. I've been adding 1.5ml of FloraNova Grow & Cal Magic to each gal. of water and adjusting the pH to ~5.9-6.1. I've been doing this all along from sprout. I water until runoff whenever the pot feels light, usually about every 4-6 days. Recently I seen a feed schedule on this site that included using the FloraNova Bloom at the same time as the other nutes I've been giving. Have I messed up by only using the grow/cal mag to this point? I thought I was supposed to use the grow until she transitioned to the flowering stage and then start using bloom in place of grow. That same schedule showed using different amounts of each of the nutes as time progressed. I haven't been doing that either, just been going with the 1.5ml each time. Another mistake?? I only bought the 2 FloraNova & CalMagic nutes to start with, should I also be using FloraMicro too? I think she's showing signs of transitioning to flower, I'm hoping to include pics w/this novel I'm writing here. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this and a big thank ya to anyone who's kind enough to answer my questions and give advice.

Morning Achilles, I don't know about GH,nutes, or any other really ,I mostly grow organic.
But I have use Advanced Nutrients and a couple of more kinds.
And advanced nutrients you use ,Grow -Micro-and Bloom, all together from the start, whenever they are old enough to start feeding them.
Plus you use your additives like BudCandy, BigBud,Hammerhead, and Overdrive the last two weeks before harvest, That's for Advanced Nutrients.
But I'm pretty sure that GHnutes are the same way.
I always start at about half strength of what's on the bottles, but everyone does things differently.
The best nutes I've found so for is MegaCrop, it's just a one part nutrient, that's super easy to use. And works great.They are even giving free samples away.
 
Hi Achilles and welcome. I think your light is a little close at 11”, the plants would be happier at about 18-20” in this stage. I would also be feeding them more often and not letting the coco get dry, check out the coco tutorial by Campesino, he’s got feeding in coco spelled out pretty clearly. As far as your nutes go, flora nova is meant to be a two part nutrient so I would follow the GH feed schedule on their website for the flora nova line at reduced rates until you get more comfortable measuring EC.

Would you agree that it's starting the flower stage according to the pics? Time to switch to a 12/12 light schedule??

One more thing... You should water AT LEAST daily!!! I water 4 times per day. You cannot over-water - you are under-watering
All water should have nutes following a schedule (different amounts of each at different stages of growth). But the recipes provided are too strong, so start at 1/2 strength until you get up to speed with EC.
 
Thanks for the insight Campesino! I read your guide and I feel like I learned a lot that I can put to immediate use. I'll for sure increased my fertigation frequency. I'm also gonna start checking the EC of my feed. And I thought that other pen that came with my pH pen was useless-lol! Would you agree that it's starting the flower stage according to the pics? Time to switch to a 12/12 light schedule??
 
It's an auto, right?

I would run autos at 18/6 until the final week before harvest. Autos do not need 12/12 lighting
 
Glad you enjoyed the guide. Cool that you already have an EC pen!
Think about your target inflow EC and I'll be happy to chat with you about that and how to manage it.

Also, yes, it is starting to flower :)
 
Morning camk, yeah, it's 230grams, of dry brown powder, I usually only use 5-6grams a gallon of water.
My plants like MegaCrop and SweetCandy.
The free stuff is still going on. And it's sure worth getting. It's so easy to use, too.
 
I'm ready to mix up another gal. but I'm hesitant to use the amounts listed in your guide. Not because I doubt your expertise or knowledge but it's such a change from what I've been feeding up to this point. From day one I've been using 1.5ml (3/8tsp) of CALiMAGic & 1.5ml FloraNova Grow only. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks from seed and according to your guide I should be mixing 1ml Grow, 2.25ml Bloom & 4ml CalMag. Also I never bought any FloraNova Micro.
Questions...
1-Do I need to get the Micro (it would probably take another week to get it) for this grow or can I wait until my next to implement it?
2-Should I use your suggested amounts immediately or do you suggest I start with lesser amounts of Bloom & CalMag and work my way up to the suggested amounts? If so, what amounts should I use today?
3-I'm thinking about 1150-1200EC would be a good target to start with, so after determining the level of nutes to use I'm sure I'll need advice on how to best reach my desired EC.

My schedule is for general hydroponics nutrients. You need to set a schedule based on your nutrients. The supplier should provide a schedule, but generally they are about 2x too strong.
Don’t follow mine exactly unless you are using the same products!
 
Yeah I'm using general hydroponics too. Your guide also mentioned when changing nutes levels to go gradually so what I did today was go with...1ml FloraNova Grow, 1.5ml FloraNova Bloom & 2.5ml CaliMag. My ppm was 561 which doubled would be an EC of 1120 so I went with that since it was close to my goal of 1150. I'm thinking I'll increase these nute amounts as the week progresses to until week 7 and I should be able to use your nute schedule verbatim then right?
 
The FloraNova line is designed to be an a & b nutrient in that you use flora nova grow during veg and flora nova bloom in flower, both contain the Micro nutrients you need throughout the whole grow. If your plants are flowering you should be giving only FlorNova bloom as a base nutrient. I highly recommend going to the GH website and selecting the custom feed chart feature.
