Newbie first time growing and new member

I wish i would have know it was that low sooner. But i think (but could be wrong) that the humidity is my problem. Its either this or mag. Ive been reading alot trying to figure out whats going on. Humidity is sitting at 44% and still rising. My temp has risen to 79 degrees.

Drunkin, we all worry a lot at the beginning, and sometimes we overthink it. You will get a feel for it, and remember: they weeds, they can put up with a lot of adversity!! I find the seedling stage to be very stressful cuz I'm a newbie too, but the more I practice, the better I get. My second germination went so much better than the first!. And getting the feel for how much water they need at the beginning has been a little difficult for me, too: you want the roots to emerge, but you don't want to overwater. I'm growing in a hydroponic setup; never grew weed in soil. But I tell ya, GWE website is where I have learned the most. So keep reading on it and looking stuff up. It's full of amazing information for both soil and hydro growers.

Also: you might think this is crazy, but treat your plants like children: talk to them, encourage them, give them love. I'm totally convinced that my girls thrive off the vibes I send them!!!

Ok, so when did those brown tips show up? I mean, the growth looks good: you've got new leaves coming in, and they ARE growing. When did the brown tips show up? AND, if it's not happening on any more leaves, maybe you corrected the problem.

Thanks i feel a little at ease. They are still growing but they look bad to me. Maybe i should just relax and let time take its course but still take care of them. I have plenty of seeds just incase i do some how mess up with no return in sight lol

I've heard and read of people talking to them but i didnt think that would do anything. It wont hurt though. Ill start treating them better.

Thank you so much for that. I read it carefully to see what i could find. It seems it might be because my humidity was too low and all though i thought i had watering in control i didnt and looks like ph is just a little low not 100% sure yet. So i raised humidity to stay between 50-60% and i just havent watered between yesterday and today. I also transplanted them into bigger pots with a little bit of kind soil under. Not alot just 2 tea spoons each. Since i havent watered i plan on raising ph to 6.5-7. So far the leaves seemed to straighten out a little bit. And its only been about 6 hours so im happy about that. They are continuing to grow even though they are having problems but i have hope. I think i might be able to bring them back. Thank you for all the help. But im sure the help isnt over lol

Don't forget to talk to them, worship them, love them. They are precious powerhouses just beginning their journey.

Keep us updated! Remember: folks say keep it moist, no waterlogged, not dried out!!

Heres a quick xmas update. After many problems (witch is expected with my first grow) the babies are starting to get better. They are still bad but im sure i can bring them back. I still havent watered them because they dont need it right now. And i raised the humidity to a steady 40-50% the light is 24 inches away and the plants seem to like it.

the pics are from today of the babies. Believe it or not they were much worse. Little by little they are coming back.

Yea im keeping a close eye on that. I put my finger in the dirt and it was still moist up to about half way to my first knuckle on both plants. Im going to wait till they are a little past my first knuckle because im afraid to feed them right now.

Have you been reading on GWE? Go to Germination and read up on best techniques. You certainly don't want to over-feed little babies.

Yea ive been reading and taking notes. Its been like my bible these last few days Lol if it wasnt for the help from you and the site and the forum i probably would have killed the girls by now.

ha ha, no you wouldn't drunkin!!! What amazes me is how smart most everybody is on this forum--including us newbies!!! People like YOU are really perceptive and right on top of a problem while it's still a small problem.
The person who would have killed the babies wouldn't have been watching them with as much concern and care as you have. Now I definitely have killed a couple of sprouts by decapitating them accidentally, but once they start putting out leaves, they start gaining speed.
For me, on this my second grow, I definitely stunted growth by cutting some BABY fan leaves and doing LST too early; I was trying to keep leaves out of the way of other bud sites. So here I am at week six and all my plants are short, but definitely getting bushy and beginning to grow upwards. They will definitely pick up speed now.
Nebula has a picture on GWE of one of her very first grow where she it the plant stay in veg for way too long, and it got huge, and she had to support the buds from the ceiling. I just wanted to experiment and try to put into practice some of the stuff I'm learning here. And me growing in hydroponic system, I knew my plants were getting the light and nutes they needed, so I just thought I'd get those baby fan leaves out of the way. WRONG: definitely stunted growth--that and some root rot.

But they are great today, and I don't mind that it's taking me a little longer. I'ma post some pics for ya.

Not to butt in but I think the root rot had a play in slower growth...not the cutting off a couple fan leaves....

My $.02

Thats awesome ill have to look for that post. I do care for these plants they are my little babies and plus i put a decent amount of money into this so i dont want that to go to waist. But honestly its fun. Its been suck a short time with many problems but theres something soothing about it. Its relaxing and i feel accomplished everyday they continue to live. I want to try other ways such as using nuts in soil and dwc. Right now im going the super soil route.

I cant wait to see the pics im sure they look amazing

Im looking forward to the pics.

Green75, you ain't buttin in!!!! I'm glad to have your input!! And glad that my tinkering with the leaves wasn't a deadly mistake. ;-}

And yes, this is some of the most therapeutic, tranquil, happy work I've done in a while!! It lifts the soul up.
