I had it inside on the shelf where it continues to reside. The numbers were pretty similar to what the Cannatrol was displaying. I'm going to trust the $2000 Device a little more than the $20 Govee ones that I've had to adjust and calibrate. But even so the data was only off by a 1% at most.
It claims 1 pound of wet flower for curing. But you can store up to 2.2 pounds of already dried and cured buds which makes sense. By that point, the moisture can easily be maintained. I also have electrical data on the Cannatrol. During the dry cycle it will use the most energy. 70w. If you have a cool room to begin with and maintain humidity then electrical usage drops to about 35w. Once it's in storage mode, it sticks to about 30w - 25w at night. Pretty low electrical usage 1kwh per day during dry, 0.90kwh per day during cure and finally consistent around 0.77- 0.80kwh during storage mode.
I am going to just cut whole branches off and dry like that and then trim on the next run. I'll see if that does anything different. I don't like hanging to turn the buds because they did get flat spots on the ones I missed or accidently fell back over. Maybe some branch cushions next time? At least for the first few days when it's most crucial.
