New to growing, saying hello!

You definitely sound prepared for the experience....and your "newbie" advice and thoughts are appreciated!

Thought I'd share a quick update with everyone. Seedlings are about 15 days from seed so far. I got one decent looking plant and a runt I'm not gonna give up on anytime soon.
I transplanted to some 1 gallon pots and am keeping them about 24 inches from my grow lights. Lights I'm using are two LED lights which the manufacturer states is equivalnt to 250w hps. Viparspectra 300w reflective LED.
Anyway below should be some pics of the plants.

Those pics were from yesterday. When I had replied to this thread I hadn't gone home yet. I got home a bit later to find out both plants almost doubled in size! I was very suprised indeed! The cotyldons started turning, so I began watering with a bit of nutrients. Can't wait to see how they respond. Such a fun hobby!

Welcome to the world of growing, on my first grow myself and you couldn't wish for a better bunch to share, ask questions and get along with, good luck for your first grow!!

Welocime Budlofsky

See how the stems are real tall, bring the soil level up higher , you want this time to be the easiest on them. Happy growing :-)

Ipdate on my babies. My normal looking one is rock steady. Is she at a point that I can top her soon?

The other is still growing in a peculiar way. I think it might be because she had only one good cotyldon at the start.

Update week 4:
About 1/2 way through week 4 from seed. Seems to be growing slowly and I think I'm probably overwatering.
Either way, I read somewhere that sativas can be a but slow, then have a spurt.
Also, I'm keeping them in 18/6 with my light aprox 24 inches away. I noticed what I hope are new leaves, but I'm not sure.

Do the leaves lift to the light? There seems to be a sweet spot with led lights, but don't ask what it is!

After reading a bit, I'm pretty sure the second pic is showing pre-flowers, which I didn't expect this soon. Might still be too young to tell sex tho. I don't see any bulbous growths when I look with a magnifying glass, so I'm holding out hope it's female.
