New Grow room

Hey oldjarhead, I have a 50 qt fridgedare that I use the drain hose feature into my sump hole. It's made by electrolux I noticed. You'd have to empty it 2 or 3 times a day otherwise. I'm happy with it.

well it looks like a tornado went though the bloom room but there is more distance between plants and light ,I didn't have time yesterday but today I think I'll give them a foiler essence spray

I also broke down and bought a new dehumidifier and got it installed with the hose so maybe when I go down today it will be 45% humidity

I fired mine up yesterday too. Foolishly I left a loop in the hose and the water filled up the tank instead of the sump. Of course it shut down. Today will dry out better. Going to be some good outside growing the next few days.

I gave a buddy a hand, trimming yesterday morning 730 to 115 4 of us yikes then never got to my girls so lots of things to do today

I went on a party boat for stripers and 3/4 of the “fishermen” dident fish.....I just stayed out of the cabin and was able to win the pool. I’ve not seen that kind of heaving since I took paotie buttons back in the day😁

I cant believe this I don't have any white pistils yet holy crap I'm starting to think they wont ever bloom lol I checked room to see if there were any light leaks nope I'm good ,oh hey on a brighter note the new dehumidifier works great rh in room is 45 to 50 unfortunately temps are now 85 to 90 so I think one of those new room acs with the discharge hose so I can send hot air out of the room .Hmm i wonder if I could make a cover for the DH and then vent the hot air from that out of bloom room might save myself 300

I used foil covered foam board to make a duct for that purpose, on an ac unit when I used tents. Some 8 penny nails to pin it together, foil tape, tape measure, knife. Make what works for you...cheaper than an ac and the electric for it

Funny you should mention that when I went down yesterday it was 90 in my room ,so I modified my dehumidifier to vent out the room ,I also was looking at room ac the ones you vent the hot air out of the room by a hose big money though. I was missing a hose clamp for the flex hose so after I got one I redid the duct work so its tighter and straighter

It's a conundrum growing in this humid heat. I just got 90
degrees @ the buds with the dehumidifier @ 50 % rh. Well thats no good. So i shut that down and put the little window ac unit in. It's 75 in there with lights out but 65% rh. Good thing this won't last too long. Edit: Letting things run over time made rh go 50 % temps low 80s. So good so far

Did you verify that you are not exhausting your "conditioned" air? Generally, newer dehumidifiers use 2 stacked back to back coils - the humid air flows through the first which is the cold evaporator then continues to flow through the second one which is the hot condenser then back into the room minus the moisture. I don't think you can separate them unless it is an old style using a worm coil.

well I have more to do with dehumidifier maybe ,I'll know in a few I set up the DH so hose would drain but I think I had it to close to the wall and it didnt get good airflow ,I hope that had something to do with the excessive heat I vented the exhaust from the DH just out into my cellar now I think I'll have to run a vent to the outside , If I cant get temps down the dh just isnt going to do what I need and will go to a AC unit I can vent out of the room .

So I went nuts yesterday and taped up the backs of my receptical boxes and wrapped my exhaust duct fro the light ,wrapped duct from DH with flexible insulation to try and get more heat out of room, after I did all this I was wondering what else I could do (After lights out I stepped in room and checked for light leaks ) I just dont know why these plants wont go into bloom

All the things I did yesterday was to block possible light leaks but I have bloomed plants in the room before with no problems WTF I will have to go down early tomorrow and see when lights do come on at the right time and not early .Don't know what else to do

Man ojh do you have a fancy timer? I have one I can set 7 different times 7 different days with continued runs on some days. And try what Campesino says 13off or even 14 I finished a flowering cycle with 14hrs dark before I put them in the dark.
