I need help determining what's wrong with my plants. I have 2 grand daddy purple plants and they seem to be going through some sort of issue. The leaves have these spots on them, and I can't tell what's wrong. Im growing in coco and using a 600 watt mh lamp. Im using reverse osmosis water and have a ppm meter reading at 730 ppm and I have a ph meter reading at 6.8.im using sensi grow ph perfect solution part a and b. Ive also added pennies to my storage water along with Epsom salt. Im also using liquid co2 and have used worm castings to make tea. For the life of me I can't tell why my plants have these spots on them. Can someone please help me figure out what these spots are?

Man thats exactly what im having and i thought it was my food!!I thought my Ph for clay pebbles was meant to be 5.5-5.8 but someone told me to keep it at 6(which is 6.4 runoff) and 4 days later im going mad to save the babies!I will flush with lower ph today!Im also having leaves curving on the edges like a space looking surf board or something!!Please continue posting maybe we can help each other on this one!

Im 1hour away from Lights-On so i will immediately change my tanks ph,im in a Drip Irrigation system (Wilma) so will have quick results and will post here about it!

Good luck matie!!

Those yellow spots are bug bites, and I have a feeling that white stuff is thrip shit or that of some other bug.

That is NOT a pH issue. I am 100% positive those are bug bites.

Don't panic. Sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth liberally into your topsoil and water with a teaspoon or two of neem oil. They aren't too bad yet, judging by the fact you only have a few bites.

For coco I think your pH is high. Recommend pH 6 but agree..looks like bug Thrips leave a silverfish trailing around chew and leave tiny black poop :(

Cut off one of the affected leaves and check it with a jewelers loop to make sure. If you do have Thrips then hit them hard with "Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew". I've used it myself and swear by it.

Thrips!!! You won't see them unless you use a x40 loupe. You'll see them move with a x60 loupe however. $15 at my local grow store or amazon.
Rotate treatments, 3 foliar spray application, 2-3 days apart. Spinosad, nuke em, neem oil, insecticidal soap are some of the products you can use. Spray every square inch of green on your plant, especially underneath the leaves, that's where they feed and live. As a side note I'm pretty sure I read somewhere neem oil is not recommended as a soil drench, too much to handle for the root system.
Diatomaceous earth will keep them from nesting in the soil. Also, let the 1st inch of soil dry out real good, they don't like dry. Good luck!

I had my best luck using a Mister instead of a spray bottle. It sokes the shit out of the leaves. I have no trouble seeing them with my 30x loop.

Just to clarify king, is what you call a mister what I call a hand pump sprayer? Cuz that's what I use with the nozzle cranked way down so a misty spray comes out, seems to work great.

My eyes aren't so great no more, x60 is what it takes this aging fart to see the little bastards crawling around! 😩

I appreciate the help and advice from everyone who commented on my post. I will use the information wisely and try to get my plants back on track. I will update as soon as possible, and thank you guys again

Man me and hooligan both have crippled edges pointing upwards and yellow dotting/color,everything points to ph issue, where on the other hand i have no thrip fοr sure! I checked the whole tent, plus i vacuumed in there today so got all the corners and stuff...Plus there's no silver pathing on the leaves and that's the first sign of thrips isn't it?
