Naming my two girls- A Dedication

So I adopted a largish chocolate lab over xmas. Its been running, walking, miles of wet and cold walking and running and playing in the fields ( soccer, his mouth is big and catches the ball amazingly)

the good part is having time to not stare and wait- that kills me. It also keeps me out of the room and letting things do their thing. I've been plucking every day but slowed down. There are still many fan leaves- perhaps I was not aggressive enough. That said I am not afraid to keep plucking during flowering- there are always two sides of the coin. Do fan leaves cause buds to get bigger or does it block light and cause them to stay smaller.... then I am thinking worrying about that low shit is not the way to go. Get the big budding / cola area going.... if you have the time to veg the shit out of her- and open her up- get some light in the middle- and get all of the nodes growing with bud sites- man this plant is going to be 1/2 lb or more wet no doubt in my mind...perhaps 3/4 if I really get that sativa out of there and devote my love to them. Pics will come tonight. My plan is to move the sativa out of the tent- clean the tent- and clean up the sativa- (golden tiger)- get some stands to raise up the Fab and Mrs Greenie and toss them into flowering in the next day or so. Shit 11 days from original post and im still not flowering - folks- talk about patience!

So... ive been also not at a desk job and doing outside sales- which I happen to love- I hope this can last. That leaves me with less forum time to which I am also sorry but I do read and keep up with the going ons...

I also think I mentioned I have 3 Orange Crack from Mephisto Bonus Seeds growing - 3 - 1 week old seedlings that all look happy. FINALLY- instead of planting them in the middle- I got them on the sides of the pot for training. I plan on a journal and some aggressive growing technique on one of these autos- to see if I can spark some Mephisto interest (thx green) SO those pics coming soon also.

Pics tonight when I clean things up- you will have to wait- :) Wanted to say Hi and I do love you all cyberly- every one of you.

PS PPPS PPPPPSSSSS

I am smoking some early cut down almost cured white widows that had WPM attack the leaves in late flowering. Without wanting to lose any harvest, I cut the bitches down. They dont look as good as the other white widow- but man I am fucking stoned out of my mind. Understanding calyx maturation, plant maturation, thc effects at various harvest stages has really gotten me baked and I am so happy.

Anyone who has tried my smoke has preferred it over the dispensary stuff that we all smoke- and nobody knows where it came from - cough cough,

That said-- wow never again will I have to smoke beautiful quality dispensary buds- cuz mine are just better to be honest... peace and love

Chemichael your plants look wonderful and congrats on your Chocolate Lab!!!!
Thanks for a fun read :)

Before flower tent. Before live show :)

I'm leaning towards an any day now harvest. The buds weights are causing most to fall over I'm thinking more time bigger buds. I'm not even sure if it's possible. These buds Are thick resinous taking up about 2 1/2 feet of tent space probably 15 -20 gigantic nugs plus the undergrowth. The second plant has another week or 2 and the buds the thickening and getting longer and really nice. Dry box opens Sunday at a minimum so leaving these babies for a few more days might be the play. Amber started low percentage on calyx. Visible amber with no glass needed on sugar.

It's really hard to tell how big these are without totally messing with them. Since they are thick and heavy and not long thin whispy I sort of lean towards ready now. But waiting I think for room to open up in dry box. By far really close to the nicest buds I've ever seen on a plant myself. It also goes to show how good root development leads to good buds. This isn't an auto but I've noticed how finicky auto soil can be. Recovery from a bad start means poor looking buds that never fully mature and ripen but still smokes great

I staggered my second harvest over three weeks. Mostly by choice. It's been fun. My friends will only take 1 or 2 hits and not at work. It proved to me that proper cure is more important than harvest maturity. I really liked having that weird sativa eye socket high from young flowers. But after three months cure things are very different. I can't tell it from the late harvest stuff. I. The end a longer grow misses this interesting experience but yields more smoke. I think I'll always take some early girls but that's me.
