My girls week 4

Tika

New member
one side of the tent. Week 4 in flower. Sugar is building and some pistils are changing color. Buds are starting to bulk up a little. Branches still getting taller. It may happen again that I won't make 9 weeks again due to the LEDs.

Hello tika, a beautiful bunch of ladies you have there, I noticed brown tips on a leaf or two, one of my girls has this, is this normal or slight nutrient burn? Thanks

She sure does, make beautiful girls that is. She doesn't like the name but she is Queen Tika. We just love to kid you dear, because we love ya so much!! Only in my dreams do I produce plants that look that way.........but someday...........someday

Yup. Little brown tips. I am choosing not to freak out about it since I don't know if is burn or deficiency but did raise the lights again in case that is causing it. I been feeding 1/2 strength with same boosters for the entire 4 was. I may give them a flush next feed. Unless someone starts yelling at me :)

Thanks Kingfish. :) not queen of anything...forever a newbie. I appreciate your support very much!

Oh no. I love being called queen insomniaczzz
It just isn't true :) thanks for appreciating my plants.

I on the other hand think I didn't give my crop enough nutes. Not that they didn't seem really healthy, but I probably should have been able to get fatter buds. I'm unsure about what to do with my next crop. It just seemed like they needed no extra nutes during veg cycle, but then again, I never topped them. I am going to have the Fox Farm Trio on hand though, so if I think nutes are needed I'll be prepared. What to do, what to do?

It pleases me that you are pleased Green. If all my branches would get as big and tall as yours I would consider this grow a point of arrival...
However I will be delighted with a bucket of Nugs
:)

Understand the quandary. I haven't changed my nutrients..just added Terpinator to the mix. I keep looking at other stuff- wondering. I will say topping ( cause I suck at filming-) and the addition of my BlueLab ph pen has greatly improved my growing. Nudes going in 6 or 6.1...nothing less- nothing more.
and with the ever encouraging Royal and Green in defoliating has been a great addition to my to do list.

With the support from everyone here. I see nothing but success and fat buds in the future. I'm talking pot plants here. :big-smile:

Mmm, mmm, mmm!

i just wanna sop those plants up like gravy with a biscuit.

You guys probably hate me for saying this but I like burned tips when using a nutrient regiment. It let me know I'm using enough and to, either back off a bit, or keep it right where it is. If there was another way to determine maximum nutrient uptake, I would. Since most synthetic nutrient are chelated, it's a lot like having a feeding tube in your stomach. The chelates will deliver the nutrition whether the plant needs it or not.

When you grow one strain over and over, you know what it likes and you can have a specific regiment for that specific strain. As everyone knows, genetics and environment plays a huge role in nutrient overload. To maximize potential in a strain you are unfamiliar with requires a little over feeding, IMO.

Tika, the girls look great! Keep doing what you do!

I have been recalling your post a bit ago saying you on purpose " burnt your plants" at the end ( something like that) . Is that because you want the most before the flush?
And yes, I've heard some strains like a more or a less pH as well. I won't ever get that dialed in. Everyone gets the same stuff at the same time around here. Each gal gets 4-5 ( in flower) separate syringes x 16 gals. If I so match as scratch an itch I get lost in dosing. So to complicate that per strain would add another hour to my 3 hr process.
And thank you Royal. Means a lot.

I certainly wouldn't cater to one plant because she was finicky. She'd get what her sisters got. If she doesn't like it, tough... Cross that strain off the list and go back to work.
