Mixed Bag

Holy Moly that is gonna be a FULL tent in a few weeks. I try to clone, even done it a few times, but I admire folks who have the 'cloning gene'.

Week 9, day 4

This extra week of veg is starting to wear on me. So much to do...

Time for another defoliation. They look a little like they have been beaten on...

But that is ok, Look what else I did. Wait, I've been working so hard that I think I'm seeing double...

My cloning method is unconventional, so far it has worked for me. It is a variation on the clone in cup of water method.

https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-to-...-of-water-easy

For each clone, 2 solo cups, one clear with holes in the bottom, and one red on the outside. I put them together, add 3/4 full of coco/perlite, tamp down, add week 3 nute solution with additional calmag and the juice from a hunk of aloe leaf, flood the coco for 5 minutes, remove inner cup and drain the water, punch a hole in the coco, prep the clone with a fresh cut, scrape on the stem, dip in clonex, then plant in hole, pack coco, add nute solution to bottom cup enough to flood the inner cup (think miniature flood n drain), then put them under the light, plastic baggie cut into a sheet on top in the beginning. When roots are visible through the inner cup, transplant into final pot with out delay. By flooding the cutting in the coco it is like being submerged in water. As they get older, i will remove the outer cup and drain, let sit, then refill. Gradually increasing the drain time. They usually show roots within 12-16 days. When I grow the manifold using BU2B 's PPP method , I will remove anything that I will not need in the final plant as soon as possible. My shoots are never 7 inches long, more like 2-5. What you see in the pix I did today. I have found that if they survive the next 2-3 days with out wilting to death, they will be ready to transplant in a few weeks.

The johnson method would be measuring the with of the stem...

Still vegging, 2 more days to flip. They have already recovered from the beating they took yesterday.

The new batch of clones. If they all survive most will be given away, don't have room for all these.

Week 1 Bloom, day 1

The plants have been flipped to bloom, the transformation begins. I really like this part, things can change so quickly.

The seed clones have their own place for now.

And the next round warming up, they haven't wilted, and still look viable.

The clones are still hanging in there. Some are starting to show new growth.

The seed clones are humming right along. One more week and the male to be will be flipped and soaked in silver.

I love it very well done. I can't wait to start cloning and doing a tent again. But for now it's outdoor only this summer. I dig how those last pics look great work CK :)

oh man, you are going to have a full house! I am watching your cloning closely, hoping to learn something. at the moment it's a toss up between you and oldjarhead100 for the cloning king title. I swear I'm gonna learn this even if I have to break a brain cell to do so. VERY nice job!

SO- They are a weed, with a little care they go all grow happy.

BU2B- Ty, Yes, full is what I am trying to achieve, go big or go home, see post 39 for my take on cloning. It is easy, just toss them in the coco and add water, nutes, and light. Cloning king, I've never been king of anything, except in my own mind...

Seed clones are vegging along, the little clones, although they look like they are having issues, most are showing new growth, roots expected any time now. Once the new growth picks up the old leaves get trimmed. Gave them a shot of aloe in their water.

Week 2 bloom, day 2

Been away for 2 days, I see the stretch is on, I'm to tired to do anything except water them now. I will look closer tomorrow as to how they are progressing. They have the dank going as well.

Everyone here is doing ok after my absence also. Time to let the little clones dry out a bit, most are surviving.
