Mixed Bag

Oh how I wish I hade a barn and a garden...
So much fun fixing with garden pipes and watering!
Had to google this "PVC watering wand".

I also noticed, like SoOrbudgal, the watering method on young plants, good useful info!
Thanks for this episode! Looking forward to next lesson!

By the end of last year, I think I finally figured out how to run the grow well. And the only purchase I had to make this year was coco/perlite, scrog nets and beans.

Week 6, day 6

20220414_114621-A.jpg

Everyone is settled in to the new home and doing well. All had their second topping to complete the manifold structure except RP-1, I anticipate 2 days for the final topping. Clone #4 is still lagging, no new growth, no roots, starting to eat itself, but it is still not dead yet. So once the topping on RP-1 is done, I can sit in the easy chair for a couple weeks watching the grass grow.

Week 7, day 1

6 full weeks complete, welcome to week 7. All manifolds are complete, just need a little more growth to permanently tie down all the shoots. 2 weeks to anticipated flip. clone 1,2,3 doing well, still waiting for #4 to decide if it will join the party or not.

That is strawberry cough, it always had a yellow streak to it. All are getting the same and no one else looks lacking. Tried drifting the pH, but no improvement. I'm going to stay the course with it.

Week 7, day 5

Everyone is happy and vegging along nicely. Clone #4 grew roots and was put in it's pot, ran out of 3 gallon, so I used a 5. I wanted to run an experiment of 3 G vs 5 G, so here I go, side by side with clones from the same mother. The rest have been getting their stems bound and pulled until the main shoots reach the outer ring where they will be secured permanently. They do like getting pulled hard...

But I sent this one just a little to hard...

The RP-1 mother had the end of one of the main shoots break off after the restraint was moved out to the end. When I found it, just hanging on by a thread. Should have put some crush on the stem, I thought it was young and flexible enough to not need it. That was last night. I taped it up and the end of the branch still looks normal and healthy. So onward, continuing with the grow and the restraints.

Just watching the grass grow. They had a water flushing 2 days ago, and nutrient feeding yesterday. Nothing for them today, time to dry out a bit. Added bug traps, clean so far.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

That is strawberry cough. It has always been that color. I drifted the pH down, then up, no change. The yellow goes away as the leaves age. All the rest are getting the same and are happy. Genetics. I will stay the course. I don't see it as an issue.

Week 8, day 1

Everyone is just vegging along. All manifolds are complete except for clones, no bugs in traps, and I took the plunge and added worm castings to each pot. Can't wait to see what that does for the grow. One more week to flip, hard to believe. The two larger clones are destined for seed production, I don't think I will manifold them. One will be forced with colloidal silver to be a male, the pollen collected, and then used to pollinate the other. This rabbit hole never ends...

Still happy and vegging along. They get a little bigger every day... Flip in 2 days or wait?, decisions to make, I think I will have a vape and think about it.

The plants & I had a talk and decided that 1 more week of veg was in order. I did a defoliation and am getting ready to harvest more clones.
