What’s the cheapest methods to heat 1.2x1.2 grow tent.
Please share some ideas to heat grow tent in winter months but need to keep smart pots of ground for drainage.

If you're not in some serious cold I would think a 60 or 75w incandescent light bulb would take care of that small an area.

I’m looking for answers to the same question for a 4x4x8 tent.

I turn my exhaust fan on and off , dehumidifiers will raise the temp a very small propane heater will do it and will add co2 to the room , but I think the best would be a higher wattage light bulb like JDU suggested

I bought this for a small camper but we haven't been camping at cold enough temps to use. I'm using it to keep my 3 x 3 tent warm. The basement has been steady at 58F and this little guy has kept the tent at 66F. My exhaust fan cycles on/off for humidity at night ( and temps by day) so it is drawing in 58F air periodically all night. I keep it off the tent floor on an overturned terra cotta drain pan in case of a wet floor. (I also turn it off and set it outside the tent if I'd be watering over it.) There are many more options for small heaters around. Just gotta think outside the box.

Hmmm I like that one OlderNOTwiser I need to swap out my chicken coop light it's clamped onto a tent pole and it works good but i'd like a bit more heat on that porch.

1.2 x 1.2? Is that even a real grow tent? That's only enough room for one plant. Having said this, be careful. In such a small space it can easily get overheated and cause too much humidity.

What kind of light panel are you using? That may generate enough heat all on it's own in such a tiny grow space.

In my experience if you try to cut corners growing weed, you end up with poor yields or weed that isn't very potent.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Are we talking 1.2x1.2 feet or 1.2x1.2 meters? Before we jump to conclusions, those of us that live in the US should remember that the rest of the world uses the metric system.

Ubu I grow in my basement and the air around the basement ceiling is warmer than the air around the floor. I ran a 4” duct up to ceiling height and my inside tent temps increased 5 degrees Fahrenheit.

For Photo's- I use an oil filled electric radiator/heater (by De'Longhi) , as it will not effect the humidity drastically.

My preferred solution - grow only auto's in the winter months and add more grow lights for heat, which increases yields, too.

OlderNOTwiser the heat coming out of that isn’t too intense for the plants? Some of those ceramic heaters are. Cool if not at that price.

cannatom There is a high and low. Only used low so far. There is a small fan. Many complained it didn't heat their teardrop campers but it seems to work fine for my purpose.

What’s a metric system ! I remember when they introduced it to Montreal... across the border we had no idea if it was warm or cold out...BUT, a good point to recognize

Hey Ubu , thats some pretty chilly temps. Is your tent gonna be in a garage? 32-50 degrees is a big spread. Have you decided on a light yet? different lights can help heat a grow tent. I would put 2-4 inches of rigid foam insulation under your tent(get one 4x8 sheet and cut it in half and stack them) Run your light and see what kind of temps your getting with the tent sealed up. Next issue is when you have your tent all set up and cozy..(you cant open that thing if the outside temps are 15-20 degrees different than inside your tent) I did this my second grow and i was fighting all kinds of issues. Extreme temp fluctuations once it was opened, and moisture would develop inside the tent.(water would drip from the top and sides)- then its really hard to get the humidity down cause you cant really vent your tent..air coming in is too cold. Im just laying all this out cause i tried to finish my late fall grow in the garage but it was such a battle i just said fuckit and brought the whole system in the house. Oh, one more thing...it got so hot in the garage in summer months i had to buy an A/C unit for my garage:embarassed:. im not doing that anymore lol

I like the safety of the oil filled unit, don’t forget, in 12 hours of darkness, you’ll need heat without light...
