HELP! Mason Jars

Novice

New member
In this week’s Newsletter, Mason jars were discussed for curing and storage. Is there a benefit or detriment to using amber colored Mason jars? I would think they would do a better job of filtering light, but want to be certain there would not be a problem.

Thanks!

I would think the amber jars would actually be better, yes. I use plain ones to get to the right humidity and then it goes into the Grovebags I bought to cure.

Amber jars are preferred, I use clear but have to then store in cabinets, as I buy more jars I try to get amber whenever possible.

I have green, amber, clear, and brown, and have never noticed any difference for curing. They do help me keep track of different strains without having to label them all.
