In reading your excellent article regarding manifolding I was a bit confused regarding the 3rd node. If you begin topping at the 3rd node when you have six nodes then it doesn't matter where you determine where the first node is because the 3rd node is in the middle. I personally was thinking from the top down (in other words the 1st node is on the top). But when your article starts explaining about creating 8 colas it begins by saying topping down to the 3rd node but leave nodes 1 and 3, I didn't get it. Reason being was I was thinking the number 1 node began from the top. If I'm not mistaken, your illustration is showing the number 1 node beginning from the bottom and going up? Is that correct? Excuse my ignorance but I would greatly appreciate your response addressing that issue. Thank you ever so much.
