Low stress training OR Topping?

Hi everyone. So id like to ask you folks
Low stress training (Bending)
OR
Topping the plant?

And why?

I need to decide which way to go for my first grow so wondering where people have more success and which is the best option for a newbie

I’d say LST for your first grow so you can get a handle on the basics of growing like watering, pruning, knowing when to leave them alone. Once you have a handle on the basics and can see the plants growing steady every week without setbacks you can graduate to topping and other forms of HST in future grows. IMO, timing is everything with HST, top at the wrong time and you could set the plant back a week, super crop too late and your trying to crush a twig rather than a soft stem. Eventually you will utilize both forms of training in the same grow, but learning when only comes with the experience of growing healthy plants and occasionally making mistakes.

Topping/FIMming adds time to your grow but creates more larger colas than just LST. I usually top once then LST and supercrop as I go because branches will grow at different speeds.
Go with Obi-Wan's idea of LST for your first grow.

K>I>S>S Wish I would have my first grow. BUT I learned.ALOT. And it cost money. And Time. But I did learn.
Try some auto's next run. They grow fast. LST 2 Top 2 HST 2 and learn from it. And you can ask. GREAT GROUP here. They will ALWAYS help. not troll you or put you down.

Both.

Follow the Nebula guide on this page, and you'll be fine. Had some decent results with my first go with that type of training.
Definitely a great way to make sure you're using your grow space to its full potential if you're growing in a smaller space like I do (grow tent).

Good luck!
