Light during drying

I have to use my grow box for drying but my temperature and humidity get to dangerous levels without heat from lights. last time I used one incandescent light bulb in the reflector and lowered it to the bottom of box. That keep everything in perfect range. I know light is bad during drying but will that kind of weak, indirect light be detrimental to trichomes?

I hear that a lot also, about light harming the drying process. I can't give advice on the light issue, but I do applaud your decision to control temperature and humidity at the risk of a little yellow light.

If one small bulb provides just the right amount of heat, can you shield your hanging buds (maybe a cardboard divider or a sheet of dark poly with some holes poked in).

BTW, I bought two (only needed one) of those cardboard wardrobes from Uhaul. Comes with the hang bar. Gets airflow but in your case would also help protect from light.

Or how about a small space heater, than you could just run now and then to keep temp up.

That's kind of what my reflector does, or so I think. It is a DIY refector. Stainless steel mixing bowl with holes drilled in top and sides to let heat escape. Bulbs don't stick out past edge of bowl. Maybe another layer of cardboard would knock down light at buds even more. Good suggestion.

I wanted to add, if the space heater keeps things too dry, supplement with a bucket of wet soil or a wet towel under buds.

I have ambient light during drying and can't say it has done harm. Curing is in jars in cabinet. do not have direct light on drying rack.
